You’re getting married and I have no doubt you want a killer wedding photographer you trust to capture all of your precious moments. no duh, right?? Something I feel like isn’t talked about all that much to the newly engaged planning bride/ groom is this little truth 💣: Your wedding celebration team doesn’t have to be just a list of vendors who show up one day from a set start-to-finish time and that’s it (!!!read that again) - I believe full heartedly that the people you choose to represent you at one of the happiest celebrations of your life should be people you vibe with! Ik Ik not a crazy wild concept but it’s something I see people miss OFTENNN, then regret not choosing people they truly jive with and that choice has the potential of either adding-to or taking-from your entire wedding experience...soOo, I just wanted to share a little nugget for the bride babe going through the motions of wedding planning in hopes that you find some sense of freedom from this: 🥁 You *should* connect with your photographer (& insert any vendor), trust your photographer and be EXCITED about the whole process with them! I’m all about forming true connection and befriending my clients because I believe getting to know my people is the key to being able to capture them in a true authentic way!! Say hello to your new favorite third wheel 👋🏻 hiiii, this is the space where the magic happens! One way I ensure that my couples enjoy the BEST photographic experience possible is through forming a relationship with them, because in the end, I’m not interested in being just “another vendor' anyways💃 can I get an amen!? - 🥳 If you’re a bride/groom who adored their wedding day team of vendors would you drop your fav emoji & raise a hallelujah? or better yet: tag them in the comments below and spread some love!!!
I’m Hannah, a girl who lives for the sunshine. My fam calls me Hans...we're still not sure if that's an endearing name abbreviation or them highlighting the excessive hand gestures I make when I get excited 🤷♀️ Either, way I'll answer to it. I'm a photographer, sunshine soul & sister to 7. I eat the same meal on repeat until I get sick of it. I order every drink iced (yep, I'm that sicko even in the winter). I love capturing energy and personality through movement. Get me talking about personality types and I'll nerd out big time. I think I identify with the love language that reads: quality time: if it involves tacos. I love traveling...like full-on COME ALIVE have never felt more me when I visit somewhere new type of travel girl. Traveling fuels my soul. How about you? do we share any loves/quirks?? I wanna know y o u !
pro tip for portraits that reflect your genuine relationship? 👉🏻plan a session that feels like an actual date night with your significant other!! the first thing I ask when dreaming up ideas with my #hspcouples for our adventure session = “is there anything or place that is really meaningful/significant to your relationship?” and if the answer to that is a location, activity, or type of food/drink I will 1000% encourage we create our vision board around those details. there’s something so special about cultivating a space that allows my people to get in their element 💫 speaking of whichhh: I’m offering a special “date night session” promo for February and they would make *the sweetest* valentines gift!! (subtle hint) guys you’re welcome ;)
I know this space can often feel like nonstop pouring out to the highlight reel...so in the very least this photo is a windswept walk to brunch, but if we peel back a few layers it’s freezing (literally and figuratively) moments of time spent with a few of the life givers in my corner who radiant such bold light in my life but also draw it out of me. Choosing to remember these moments of simple joys + celebrating the way our prayers are so seen by the lord, *that* is what these gems captured are reminders of to me. Our pastor left us with this nugget in church & I’m grabbing it by the hand and running into 2020 with it like I’ve got the map to hidden treasure: “pray, then plan, then proceed” 🤍
this is my “play it cool like you didn’t just get tickets to @justinbieber 2020 tour but deep down inside the middle school girl in you is screaming” face (!!!!) a merry christmas indeed
“We met in college but found out we actually went to pre-school together. We also went to the same church our senior year...our paths *should have* crossed a lot more before college but somehow they didn’t” hearing their story so intentionally woven together reminded me of a promise—that the lord establishes our steps & makes everything beautiful in its time. Getting to hear the way he‘s written on the pages of others lives continually fills my heart 🤍
