The Western furniture depot is NOW OPEN!
At the furniture depot, students can donate or take any gently used household items for FREE.
Students can visit the location most convenient to them. The east side of Platt’s Lane Estates or the east lawn of Alumni House. Once you have arrived to the depot, look for the shipping containers to drop-off or pick-up your furniture.
Hey Western students! Starting to think about moving in or out of your rental? Donate your gently-used furniture & appliances and students can take what they need for FREE! Stop by our spots at Platt's Lane Estates & Alumni House, open Monday to Friday between April 24 – May 3, 9am-4:30pm. 
Countdown to move-out day ticking? Here's your checklist for leaving on a high note: Clean up that rental space until it sparkles! 🧹🧼💫 And hey, don't let the garbage day slip by; out with the old, in with the new! 🗑️🚚 
Can't make it to the Furniture Depot? Not to worry! Eligible houses can leave their gently used furniture items at the curb with a green sticker that will be delivered in the next few weeks. Pickups will happen Friday, April 26th. Stickered items must be placed at the curb that day between 7-10 am. Swipe to see the eligible streets!

It’s almost the end of the school year which means many students will be leaving London for the summer! 🌞 If you are planning on moving out, here are a few tips that can help make your transition seamless. 📦✨
1. Schedule move-out date: Plan ahead what date you want to move out so you can plan a moving van or coordinate with friends or family to help you move out. 📅 It is also easier if not all your roommates are moving out at the same time. 🏠➡️🚚
2. Moving van: If you require a moving van, book early. Contact multiple companies and get quotes to find the best deal! 🚛💨
3. Boxes: Find some boxes to make packing easier. Start packing early! 📦🔍

St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner! As you may get ready to have fun with friends, there are some safety tips and bylaws to keep in mind:
1. London has a 24/7 noise bylaw and if fined it can range from $200 - $5000
2. You can be fined for any sort of nuisance which includes public intoxication, public urination or disorderly conduct with fines starting from $800
3. Liquor License Act prohibits the consumption of alcohol anywhere besides a residence of a licensed area. Also, any occupant can be held liable for the actions of an intoxicated person leaving their residence. This means hosting parties comes with lots of responsibilities!
