This amazing antique Rolex is a unique historical curiosity. The heart of this “trench watch” is a 1918 Rolex stamped movement in a 9ct rose gold case stamped “Rolex” & “W&D” for Wilsdorf & Davis, Rolexes original founders. Due to the damage caused by radium used on the original dial, it was replaced in the 40s with a remarkably rare guilloche quartered chevron dial, making this both a WWI & WWII era Rolex.
