• This is what it looks likes when tons of sophomores who are leaders within their communities get together and become #hobyva2020 ambassadors. I’m sure we all wanted to be on #christophernewportuniversity campus. But when life throws you COVID-19 you make the best of it and have a blast virtually. Thank you #mauryhighschool for allowing me to represent not only Maury but #norfolkpublicschools as well. Hopefully, we can get more schools within Hampton Roads to participate next year since there was only a few of us. @vahoby @hoby is simply OUTSTANDING!

  • Today THIS happened. I was eligible to get my permit when I was in Disney for #disneydreamersacademy. However, the world shut down and the dmv shut down with it 🤦🏽‍♀️ I had to wait forever to get an appointment to take my test which was yesterday and I was distraught when we arrived and they were closed because of #juneteenth. The next open appointment wasn’t until 7/21. This morning, I woke up to my mom telling me I had 10 minutes to be dressed so we could make it to the DMV for an appointment that she had just found. We made it just in time and I PASSED! 😎

  • How is everyone handling the COVID-19 Epidemic? Any book or magazine recommendations that you’re reading? As many of you already know last week #disneydreamersacademy made the decision to cancel (YouTube video coming today or tomorrow 🤞🏾) Although, many of us forced smiles on our faces it still did/does suck. Honestly, coming home was even worse than finding out that the event was cancelled. I was leaving friends who I felt I’ve known forever, I was sad that I didn’t have the opportunity to experience what fellow dreamers experienced, and time was cut way too short 🤦🏾‍♀️However, I came home to this pleasant surprise waiting for me. Trust me, I needed this. Anyways, before we’re all locked in our homes and can’t leave it’s not to late to grab your copy of #strongmagazineforgirls. As always, this edition is perfect for all girls.
