PP3/4 had an amazing time exploring the world of seeds! 🌱 They learned all about the different ways seeds travel and spread, then got hands-on by creating their very own helicopter seeds. 🍃✨
The best part? Testing them out and watching them spin through the air—so much fun and excitement all around! 🚁💨 #helicopterseeds #outdoorlearning #science #exploringnaturewithchildren

Year 6 had a fantastic first reading session with Reception this week! 📚✨
These weekly meet-ups are a wonderful opportunity to build a special mentorship between our oldest and youngest pupils—supporting reading, confidence, and friendships across the school. We can’t wait to see these relationships grow! #reading #mentorship #youngreaders

💼✨ Form 4 Enterprise Challenge Success! ✨💼
Our Form 4 students took on the ultimate business challenge — starting with just £10, they created, marketed, and sold their own products with one goal in mind: make a profit! 💡💰
After pitching their ideas to our very own “Dragons” 🐉 (Mrs Hammond, Mrs Coleman and Mrs Dunkley), the teams brought their businesses to life at our Enterprise Fair… and wow did they deliver!
🛍️ Sell, sell, sell they did — raising an amazing £290! 🎉
The students have decided to split their profits between supporting the school charity ❤️ and investing back into their Form 4 classroom 📚 — leaving a lasting impact for future students to enjoy.
We can’t wait to see what they choose… watch this space! 👀

🧮 Maths success for Westville House School pupils in the UK’s most prestigious Mathematics competition.
The UKMT Junior Maths Challenge sees over 300,000 pupils from across the UK enter the national competition each year and is the most prestigious Maths competition in the UK.
Aimed primarily at Year 7 and 8 students, it is one of the most popular school-level challenges.
Despite our pupils being younger than the majority of entrants, our Year 6 pupils achieved 8 bronze awards, putting these children in the top 25% of entrants awards and one silver, Lois Carne, seeing her placed in the top 16% of entrants aged. With all 19 children in Year 6 entering, almost half (42%) of pupils finished in the top 25% of the UK, an incredible achievement! #mathsclass #stemeducation #ukmtjuniormathschallenge
