Happy St. Patty’s Day! Green is one of my favorite colors. It’s also one of my son’s favorite, but his fav is a shade that makes my eyeballs hurt. His love of green was inspired by Greg (also known as Gecko). Toddler moms unite in our tolerance for kid shows! Photo: @missusbeeler
Here’s some Friday Freakishly Fabulous Forinspiration (my alliteration game is not so strong it would seem) for you. @amberinteriors strikes again.
Do you ever get tired of your stuff? There are things in my closet that when I bought them knew that I didn’t really love, and I’ve gotten over them pretty quickly. Same thing goes for my home decor and furniture. There are a few pieces that I waited and hunted for that I still LOVE. It’s so much better to take my time when choosing stuff—especially furniture that is a bigger investment. What things do you have that you still love long time? One of mine’s our bed frame! Brain blockage alert. I feel like smoke is going to come out mah’ ears, mainly because I’m working on taxes, but also because I’m mid-design on a couple projects and feeling a bit backed up in the ideas department. Like my brain ate too much cheese. I don’t want to just revert to my standard aesthetic, that probably really isn’t my truly TRUE aesthetic, but it sure is safe. How do you balance what is tried and true with your more adventurous side? Do you try it out in small doses or go all out with a fun new idea? This Beach Condo project had a majority of safe choices, but definitely a couple of spicy ideas thrown in. Photo: @missusbeeler Design: @lot35homes
It is not all 🌈 and 🌹. Sometimes it’s 💩 and 🕷 all up in my business. Projects are pushed back, light fixtures are a week late with no delivery date to be had, and there’s not a sleeve of Girl Scout cookies to be seen in my cupboard. 😭 I came across this quote (swipey swipe to read) and was reminded that I cannot internalize things like this as personal failures. Except the cookies. That is definitely one I should remedy as quickly as humanly possible.
