  • A little self introduction for those of you who don’t know me... ☕️ Hi! I’m Janelle and I’ve been a brand designer for around 2.5 years now. I started as a freelance graphic designer (the first services I ever offered were $5 illustrations on Fiverr) but when that started growing, I switched gears into logo design and eventually decided that branding was what I wanted to do. I started freelance because I wanted to have the freedom to take my work anywhere — but I ended up gaining so much more than that! I was able to scale my services + start my own business, move from Toronto to Brighton to Bali, have stability in my job + income, and meet tons of amazing people along the way. If you’re looking to get into freelance or have just started + have questions, my DMs are always open 🙆🏻‍♀️ I’ve been a little slow on social media lately but I’m going to try to share more because I have been working on some really fun projects lately that I’m super proud of. And since design is such a technical field, there is a lot of room for miscommunication + confusion between designers and their clients!   • Been super quiet on socials this week and that is because.... we’ve moved to Indonesia!! 🇮🇩 Harry and I have a couple days left of mandatory quarantine in Jakarta, and then we’ll be moving to Bali. We’ve been dreaming of moving to Asia since we met 3 years ago in Vietnam — and the journey has been wild since then (LDR, quitting our jobs and moving to the UK together, pandemic, more LDR) — but we’re here now ✨ Still adjusting to the time zone + catching up on rest but we’re so happy and grateful to finally be in Asia again.
