⬇️ STEAL MY FOOLPROOF RECIPE ⬇️⠀ ⠀ for making sure your content does MORE than just fill space, it moves people to ACTION⠀ ⠀ These 4 Questions will keep you on the value-track, ya ready?⠀ Who is this for?⠀ What's the MAIN takeaway? (If you can't answer this in a sentence or less, start again.)⠀ What ACTION do I want them to take after reading?⠀ How does this post connect to how I serve + what I sell?⠀ ⠀ That last question is TOTAL GOLD to make sure that you're not posting JUST TO POST, but you're constantly moving people into a sale, even if you're not asking for it right away.⠀ ⠀ Which of these q's keeps you on track? Let me know in the comments!
SO MANY PEOPLE have asked me: Are you excited to have a baby?!⠀ ⠀ And while I totally GET what they're really asking, I can't help but clarify in my head, "NOPE, I'm excited to HAVE HAD the baby." The HAVING part is a little... terrifying 😳⠀ ⠀ And it got me thinking — HOW OFTEN do we feel this way toward any (and almost every) process?⠀ ⠀ ... writing website copy.⠀ ... creating a new product.⠀ ... prepping for maternity leave.⠀ ... working out.⠀ ... cleaning the house.⠀ ⠀ YOU NAME IT.⠀ ⠀ But, I've learned that the more presence and intention we bring to the process, truly the better the result.⠀ ⠀ So, when it came to creating content for maternity leave, I implemented some RULES:⠀ I wasn't just going to complete tasks 1-by-1. Instead, I attached habits to each task I knew I'd be completing.⠀ ⠀ Some helped me get ahead even further.⠀ Like the RULE that every time I wrote an email to my list, I had to write an extra one for maternity leave. (It didn't take THAT much longer, and the payoff was BIG.)⠀ ⠀ Some helped me be more present.⠀ Like the RULE that every time I wrote a piece of social content, I had to think CLEARLY about ONE person who would receive it.⠀ ⠀ Some helped me build others up.⠀ Like the RULE that every time I use or create an SOP, I need to thank a team member.⠀ ⠀ The list was short, but the impact was big.⠀ ⠀ Getting started is honestly the hardest part, but if we're going to practice maturity and EXPECT growth in our businesses, we have to stop seeing "getting started" as optional. Instead, let's think about how to maximize it.⠀ ⠀ So, how can you MAXIMIZE the times you get started, and take it even farther?
This isn't a story about sacrificing EXCELLENCE, okay?⠀ ⠀ This is a story all about how my life got twist-turned upside down... (jk, but really)⠀ ... when I stopped focusing on everyone else around me and finally started to pursue my own definition of WINNING rather than "being the best."⠀ ⠀ See, I used to think, "Well, if I'm THE BEST, I'll always be winning, right?" Uh, wrong.⠀ ⠀ Ya know what pursuing "best" gets you? It lands you right in the land of focusing SIDE-TO-SIDE. Trying to be the "only" means you're focused on what everyone else is or isn't doing rather than stepping forward in your calling and purpose in a way that crushes the path to your potential.⠀ ⠀ But, when you choose to focus on what it means for YOU to WIN? On your own terms?⠀ ⠀ Your eyes are forward.⠀ You're taking action instead of just analyzing the hierarchy.⠀ You're focused on the people you're serving (that's how you score points in the game of life and biz).⠀ You're focused on the people you're running plays with (your team).⠀ ⠀ IDK about you, but doesn't WINNING... consistently and on our own terms... sound like so much more fun than trying to be "the best?"⠀ ⠀ I'd love to know in the comments, what does "winning" (in life and/or biz) look like to you?
OOOOOPPPPSSSS, I realized it's been a hot second (and about 2k followers ago) since I've done a little re-intro. ⠀ ⠀ There are SO MANY brand new faces around here, so I thought instead of a cliche Friday intro, I'd change the game and do a "Who the Heck are YOU? Wednesday" 😂 because we're ALL NOSY about our internet friends, BE HONEST. Okay?⠀ ⠀ Before I dive into more about who I am, I need you to repeat after me: WE DON'T DO SHALLOW FRIENDSHIPS here, so I'm gonna go deep, and you should too! 😂⠀⠀ ⠀ In case you're just joining us, here are a few important facts about me:⠀⠀ ✔️ I taught high school for three years, and was frequently named EXTRA, or CRINGY by my students. I have no shame, and I'm weird, but I operate with the mindset that if weird is more fun than not weird--why NOT be weird? Right?⠀⠀ ✔️ Now, I get to work with creative women in biz on translating their heart for their business into words, and nailing down a message that aims for CONNECTION, because it's really the conversion long game.⠀ ✔️ OH, ANNNDDDD I'm the founder of The Promptlate Shop—the faster and funner (okay MORE FUN) way to words that connect with the right people and get them to take action FAST.⠀ 🔥Okay, now rapid fire:⠀⠀ 💃I don't know how to stand pretty in pictures. (Sorority girls, rescue me.)⠀⠀ 💃I started dating my husband partially because he sweats as much as me. Keepin' it REAL real.⠀⠀ 💃I don't really like many "living things," and I KILL PLANTS, but now I have a pup who's completely stolen my heart (name's Joey Tribbiani, he da best). OH AND... I'll have to keep a human alive pretttyyyyy soon, since we're expecting a baby girl in MAY! Maybe there's hope for me yet?⠀⠀ 💃Oh, and my ideal diet consists of the three major food groups: tacos, iced coffee, and... wait, no. That's it. But, I mean, I'm a fan of movement, so that's okay RIGHT?⠀⠀ ⠀ Your turn! Give me some rapid fire!⠀⠀ ⭐️Ideal diet⠀⠀ ⭐️Favorite unexpected feature of your S/O⠀⠀ ⭐️A dream you never thought you'd have
What does it REALLY look like to win the LONG GAME?⠀ ⠀ I've been asking myself this a lot lately.⠀ ⠀ You see, when I started my business, I thought I could rely on my smarts. I thought I could rely on my natural ability.⠀ ⠀ And while that's USUALLY the catalyst that sparks most of our businesses built out of our passion, I was QUICKLY slapped in the face with... yep, that'll get you here, but it won't get you THERE.⠀ ⠀ Where's there? The dream place. The one we're afraid to admit to anyone else. The level of growth that only a TINY piece of us believes can happen, and the rest is screaming, "WOAHHHH, GIRL. THAT SOUNDS HARD."⠀ ⠀ But, ya know why that's the case? It's because you can't build a lasting business on talent alone.⠀ ⠀ You can't build an ALLSTAR PERFORMANCE on innate ability.⠀ ⠀ Every pro athlete in the world shows us that talent doesn't even get you HALFWAY there.⠀ ⠀ Sure, you need practice. But you also need PEOPLE. And you need the ability to see POSSIBILITY where others see closed doors.⠀ ⠀ The more I move forward in business, the more I realize that success is knowing that you HAVE what it takes to achieve your dreams, but you DEFINITELY aren't holding all of the knowledge and skill it'll take quite yet.⠀ ⠀ In fact, you won't ever have it all. I believe that's why we need Jesus.⠀ ⠀ I also believe that's why it's our chief job description to GO GET KNOWLEDGE, DAILY.⠀ ⠀ And I'm not just talking more knowledge on what you claim to do best. We need to be in constant pursuit of the knowledge it takes to...⠀ ⠀ 🔥 ACTIVATE the people around us⠀ 🔥 SEE PAST THE NOW into what's possible⠀ 🔥 KEEP the most important thing THE MOST IMPORTANT THING⠀ ⠀ ... what else am I missing? Where do you think we can always and forever learn?⠀ ⠀ Hit "share" if this quote hit you in the feels like it did for me!
