I'm gonna take a wild guess, here...⠀ YOU HAVE NO CLUE WHAT TO WRITE TO YOUR EMAIL LIST.⠀ ⠀ Am I inside your head yet? Next up in our series of copywriting tuts (yes, we decided together we'd call them that!) is a quick answer to your question:⠀ ⠀ Alright, so I get social media and blog posts and website copy, but WHO THE WHAT THE do I write to the people on the list I'm supposed to be buillding?⠀ ⠀ Short answer? Don't make it harder than it has to be. Share this tutorial with a biz friend who's on the email-list-content-struggle-bus!
You put your heart and soul into your business, amiright? ⠀ ⠀ BUT, I bet NOBODY told you when you started your business you needed to know how to be your own accountant (ugh, math), Instagram model, tech guru, a crazy-awesome photographer, and—you guessed it—a COPYWRITER.⠀ ⠀ But copy can CHANGE THE GAME for your business.Think: More sales, better clients, forever-loyal fans. And getting back to doing more of what you love (which for most of you is NOT writing, I know!).⠀ ⠀ This is exactly why I created the Website Bundle in The Promptlate Shop. Think 50% prompts and 50% templates to help you become confident with your brand message and truly own your story through your website copy, broken down into actionable steps.⠀ ⠀ One of our students, @beccakoebrickdesigns, shared the three biggest things she loved most about the Promptlates:⠀ 🌟 GAIN CLARITY: Before I invested in the Promptlates, I had an idea of who my audience was and what my message to them was. But after going through the Promptlates, I feel like I’m so clear on what I provide, who my audience is (and isn’t), and how to speak directly to them.⠀ 🌟 WORK AT YOUR OWN PACE: Jess provides a timeline on how you can work through the Promptlates in just 10 days by working on them for 30 minutes each day! But you can really work on them as fast or as slow as you need to. It was nice to be able to come back to what I had written and finish when I had time.⠀ 🌟 PEACE OF MIND & CONFIDENCE: After having all the Promptlates done, I feel like my entire website speaks for itself and I don’t have to keep thinking, “what if I change this or that.” I can sleep easy knowing my website is strong and clear.⠀ ⠀ Sounds unreal, right? Good thing it’s not! Follow the link in my bio to try the Promptlates yourself and upgrade your web copy, STAT. Which of these is the MOST attractive to you?⠀
BOLD STATEMENT HERE:⠀ Smart business owners steal like artists.⠀ Scared business owners copy.⠀ ⠀ In our world of endless education and inspiration, it is SO IMPORTANT that we not only figure out how to consume information so that we can learn and grow, but we also FIGURE OUT how to grow our CREATIVITY because of it.⠀ ⠀ It's so easy to take ideas and pass them off as your own, or "just change the words a little," but instead of asking the question—is this allowed?⠀ ⠀ Try asking the question: Will my business grow with integrity and sustainability because of this?⠀ ⠀ And, if you need a book that's a blast to read through and belongs on the shelf of EVERY creative (or aspiring creative) EVER, grab Austin Kleon's Steal Like an Artist!⠀ ⠀ Have you read it?
I've been thinking a lot about the word INVESTMENT.⠀ ⠀ Ya know the core idea I keep coming back to? You have to decide BEFORE you know it's going to work.⠀ ⠀ Guys, it’s so SCARY to dive into something that requires you to invest or commit before you see results.⠀ ⠀ But, when you really think about it, isn’t that the nature of almost anything good in life? You’ve gotta be vulnerable and invest in community before you get to experience the true benefits.⠀ ⠀ You have to invest in giving value before your audience learns to trust you.⠀ ⠀ You need to spend $5 on pumpkin cream cold brew before you know if it’s LITERALLY going to conjure feelings of fall for your entire day.⠀ ⠀ It’s how life goes: First sow, then reap.⠀ ⠀ So, ask yourself today…Am I choosing to play big, or am I doing too much all at once just to keep up with what I think everyone else is doing? Am I taking my next step or am I trying to compete with her last step? (like we talked about yesterday!)⠀ ⠀ Every time I’ve made a decision from scarcity (like booking a client because there will be no more clients, EVERRRR), it always turns out real bad.⠀ ⠀ After I did some work to change my mindset from scarcity to growth, I jumped in with CONFIDENCE.⠀ ⠀ Have you ever made a scary leap in your business? How did you approach it with confidence instead of fear? What helps you decide whether you’ll outsource something, or take a DIY approach? What makes you DECIDE to invest TIME into a DIY approach so you can get a return on that valuable investment?⠀
