  • When I first started my blog, it was with the intent to document my secondhand shopping, deal-hunting ways. While of course I still love a good deal; I enjoy the thrill of happening upon a piece I never knew I needed until it was starring me in the face, and appreciate the victory of finally finding an item I’ve been searching for for years. But I know in some ways I’ve gotten away from that, with the desire to stay relevant and have ‘shoppable’ outfits, even though the truth is that some of my favorite pieces were loved by someone else before me, some are so old there is no way to tell where they even came from, and try as I might, I can’t provide the luxury I so often enjoy, of clicking a link for something to be purchased immediately. In this homogenized world of Instagram, I may have forgotten what I actually love, because someone else is telling me what to love. This much I do know is true, before instagram, I loved cherry blossoms and I loved finding pieces by @joie at the thrift store. When I spotted this sweater at @thredup , it just immediately had to go into my cart.
