This International Women's Day, come hang out with us! 🌟 Monday 8th March 🌟 To celebrate IWD this year, I'm hosting a conversation with a bunch of women I admire to share their challenges and stories as women in leadership and business. The UN theme for IWD 2021 is ‘Women in leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world’. After the year that 2020 was, this seems SO fitting. I'm so honoured to be joined by the wonder women: Kara Demmrich @kyalandkara Robyn King @canva Sophie Walker @australianbirthstories Pip Brett @jumbledonline Shelley Johnson and Emily Bowen of My Millennial Career @mymillennialmoney and Clare Wood @clare_wood_coach This podcast episode proudly sponsors the work of @foreverprojects a not for profit helping break the cycle of poverty for women in developing countries 💕 You're going to love this conversation. Can't wait!! #IWD2021 #choosetochallenge #generationequality

Have you ever had someone copy you? I have. It was the 9th grade. I had just bought my first pair of skinny Lee Jeans. I was happy. Truly, wonderfully happy. The next week, one of my friends went and bought the exact same pair of jeans as me (and got them on sale, no less). I was disappointed, indignant, one click away from asking her to return them. That was year 9 and a pair of $90 jeans. And I still remember it. But when someone copies you in your business? That's a different story all together. That makes my blood boil! I had that happen to me recently and I reached out to Riz to get help because I was stuck. I've gotta tell you, in the online business world, this is really important. You work far too hard building your business to not protect it legally. I've seen people invest tens of thousands of dollars into their brand, only to realise they can't trademark their brand because it's taken already 😳 or to have someone rip them off and they can't do anything about it. That's simply not good business but the sad reality is that it happens ALL THE TIME. Cue: Foundd Legal. This week I chatted with lawyer and entrepreneur Riz McDonald of @founddlegal. She makes the boring stuff FUN😍 Her legal templates are an absolute game changer for small businesses, creatives and entrepreneurs. In this episode, you'll learn: 🌟 How to become legally legit & protect your small business 🌟 The difference between copyright and a trademark 🌟 The importance of trademarking your brand (and my own story of this!) 🌟 The most common legal mistakes people make in small business This podcast episode is full of practical, implementable, pure GOLD. So take a listen today! You won't regret it. p.s. I promise I'm not bitter about my year 9 copycat.

This week on the podcast, I'm sitting in my kitchen chatting with my dear friend Luka McCabe 😍 Luka is a midwife/nutrition consultant/author/mum/founder of @boobtofood, a nutrition consulting service for mums on the journey from breastfeeding to solids 👶 Yep, Luka is definitely an under achiever (read: that's a lie) We chat about work-life balance, social media, and how to build not just a brand, but a community. We also discuss the very important question of Chris Hemsworth vs Liam Hemsworth 😉 In this podcast, you'll learn: 👉 How Luka built a community, while staying true to her brand 👉 The journey she took to write her book, Milk to Meals 👉 How she has created work-life balance as a Mum 👉 The #1 thing that skyrocketed her following on Instagram 👉 How to know what content to create for your audience You don't want to miss this one. Available wherever you listen to podcasts.
