• I will never get tired of sending my couple's engagement rings to Joel asking for him to buy me one, and always getting the response "But you have a ring..." ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 💍I just love morning rituals. 💍 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ -- In other news, I have an accountability buddy! Last year was weird & it put me in a very unproductive mindset & I know it affected so many people similarly. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So to get out of my funk, my friend @steph.carlotta and I, are doing bi-weekly check-ins. We laid it all out on the table, we talked about the things we want to accomplish in health, finance and hustle. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ [On top of that I meet with two of my girlfriends twice a week for a zoom workout - it feels to get the mind and bod aligned. ✨] ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Working full time, planning my own wedding, working with my families and wedding clients, all while trying to keep my plants and dog alive - leaves me feeling a little overwhelmed and a little scatterbrained. So, having Stephanie text me to say "I knocked this off my list" or "I just wrote for two hours" - really motivates me to go through my goals & figure out what I can do today to help accomplish them this year. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I don't say this often, or I keep this pretty closed lipped, because I'm afraid of saying something and failing. But I have big goals for my little business. This is year three for me of all things photography & I'm ready to expand. I'm working through my plans and trying to make my dreams of running this business full time a reality. But One step at a time - like yanno, making sure I move more or make time to create content. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So cheers to business buddies & besties who hold you accountable for your goals - but also, make entrepreneurship not feel as lonely. Weeee! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Like everyone and their mom, I spent the first couple days of the year reflecting on 2020 and creating goals. I spent five days glued to the news & cursing the president. Then I truly went in to avoidance mode and binge watched The Wilds on Amazon and Bridgerton on Netflix. (Thanks, Laura for the recommendation.) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I've bounced back though, don't worry. I am happy to say that with the first 14 days of the year behind us, I am back on the boat of: some people suck, our nation is still very broken, but we gotta keep fighting. Oh and that the Duke of Hastings, 🥵. (Honestly, if you watched the show and don't feel some kind of way, we can't be friends.   • I am currently in my end of year editing cave filled with water, chocolate, Lightroom crashes and Netflix holidays movies.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But I’m popping my head out to show off this gorgeous proposal from earlier this year. Edgar jumped through hoops while planning his proposal to Abigail. His original plans of a big party filled with friends and family from around the country, definitely had to be downsized due to covid - but we made it happen & it was just as special.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Check the link in my profile for the blog, highlighting all the special moments from that day - including her gorgeous ring! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ & when you’re done reading that blog, tell me your favorite way to get through the busy season!   • Honestly, people wouldn’t struggle wearing a mask if they looked as good as my girl Riane. 😷⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Also, I wear a mask to all my photoshoots & on one of my camera bodies - the viewfinder legit fogs up... kinda like if you wear glasses and mask, sometimes there’s a little fog. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Any photographers getting the fog as well, or is it just me? But I find that I need it now more than ever, moments of disconnecting & just refueling my battery. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Taking my own advice right now - I’m stepping out for fresh air & buy a Christmas tree with my person. 🌲
