ππππ₯π¨ππ₯π¬ π₯ππππ£: πππππ πππ¦π§π’π₯π¬ π π’π‘π§πβ¨ . This last month @reducereusesuze and I had three incredible guests on the @positivelygreenpodcast π . Episode 3οΈβ£8οΈβ£ (swipeβ‘οΈ)we had @minakwilson on to share with her ancestorsβ story, acknowledging and honoring a part of Black Americaβs farming legacy.πΎ . Episode 3οΈβ£9οΈβ£ (swipe!β‘οΈ)we have on @malaryme - where we discuss biculturalism in gardening, community building, and home birth.π± . Episode 4οΈβ£0οΈβ£ (swipe!β‘οΈ) we interview Curtis Lee, a youth program leader and community organizer who shares with us his harrowing story of loss, leadership, incarceration, and hope.π² . These are must-listen episodes as we think about honoring Black legacy - not just for 28 days of the year - but year round. π . Itβs my hope that in sharing these stories, @reducereusesuze and I light a fire under your butt to be better accomplices, to seek out diverse stories, and deepen your understanding of what it means to be actively anti-racist.βπΌ . π§π¨π‘π ππ‘ π§π’ π§πππ¦π ππ£ππ¦π’πππ¦ @positivelygreenpodcast π§ . #farmher #femalefarmer #bipocpodcast #farmlifebestlife #wisconsinfarm #femalepodcasters #blackfarmers #antiracism #blackhistory365 #blacklegacy #positivelygreenpodcast

π₯π’ππ ππ‘ π§ππ π¦π‘π’πͺ ππ‘π πππππβοΈ . Hey guys itβs been a minute! While I havenβt been posting as frequently thereβs still lots going on behind the scenes here.βοΈ . February has held a lot of important deadlines for me so Iβve been busy planning, prepping, and networking.π . First, Iβll be giving a presentation at the @mosesorganic conference this coming Saturday all about how to get your farm online affordably and efficiently. Iβm honored to be able to speak and teachπ‘ . Second, the Cultivating Capital Course social media modules get released this coming Sunday. What a trip it has been updating those. Iβm looking forward to being done!! π» . Third, finally getting the course update allows me to start planning mastermind meetings for course students. I have so many ideas and Iβve been organizing them like a madwoman.π‘ . Fourth, the @positivelygreenpodcast has been at full speed ahead - interviews, editing, and scheduling guests. I really love where @reducereusesuze and I are taking this season of the show.π . Lastly, Iβve been networking with local restaurants and business owners to start selling eggs before we fulfill our CSA duties later this spring. I love meeting local business owners, but it has gobbled up a good amount of time.π³ . I will admit the cold snap really got my spirits down. Every winter I reach this point where it feels like spring will never come. I inevitably get super down on myself- and hide in my work. π . So this is my quick hello and update! I hope you are crawling out of your winter blues and forging ahead too. Spring always gets here eventually!π· . #homesteading #homesteader #smallfarm #supportsmallfarms #wisconsinfarm #farmher #femalefarmer #greenwillowhomestead #maremmasheepdog #livestockguardiandog

On our latest episode of the @positivelygreenpodcast - Suzette @reducereusesuze and I speak with Mina Wilson, M.A. @Minakwilsonπ - In this episode we discuss: βΊVisiting and honoring the places of our ancestors βΊLeaning on family - both immediate and extended- and recognizing the power of collective thinking over individual thinking βΊBlack legacy and recognizing the work and humanity of the enslaved as they built the wealth of our nation βΊThe distinction in language between βslavesβ and βenslavedβ and why itβs crucial when we talk about our history βΊHow we must recognize and dismantle the policies still in place that uphold racism in America βΊHow the construct of slavery is still present in modern America βΊAllyship vs accompliceship βΊWhen we talk about farming, why we must acknowledge and honor the enslaved βΊHow can land access and ownership can be a way forward for allyship and accompliceship βΊHow the mortgage industry truly started βΊCross generational conscious and why itβs crucial . Reflecting on the past year, the white-centric regenerative ag space has marginally grown in their understanding of these issues. As a white farmer, it is my hope that sharing these conversations and stories are a pathway to deeper understanding. β€οΈ . βIf we donβt acknowledge the truth individually and collectively - there is no hope for usβ -Mina Wilson @minakwilson .
