  • Jack Jack has my WHOLE ENTIRE HEART. 🐶❤️

Y’all haven’t seen the face of my other half in awhile so here he is! If you are new around here, before I got married and found the love of my life - this boy was my other half by a LONG SHOT. I have had him since college and we have been through some LIFE together. He loved me through heartbreaks, through career changes, through not even knowing who I was. He was with me before I even held a camera and before I found my passion. He was there when I hit rock bottom and didn’t even know which way was up. He has been with me through the hardest times in my life, has moved with me to multiple apartments, he has sat with me on the hard days and run with me on the good ones. He watched me fall in love and walked down the aisle on my wedding day. I truly believe dogs are gifts from God and this one was an angel God sent to me right when I needed him most and he has been with me through almost every hard season I have ever been through.

To say I love this dog more than I can imagine is putting it LIGHTLY. All my dog people out there - you understand. Next month on March 6th will mark 6 years together and I could not be happier with the little pup I found on craigslist all those years ago.

OK I could go on forever about this little furball BUTTT I want to hear about your fur babies (or real babies) - do you have an animal that just has your entire heart? I want to hear allllll about your other halves! Let me know below and send me alllll the puppy pics in my DMs because I love seeing them!! 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼

  • Dallas skylines are tiding me over until New York is back up and running so that I can visit again. I used to go to NYC every year with my best friend and COVID has just shut it down now for over a year. We are waiting until Broadway opens back up but for now I am just dreaming of the city. Anyone else want to go to NYC and shoot with me?! I may just have to go because it’s been TOO long....😩🏙

  • Ohhhhhhh bluebonnet season….

It is coming UP y’all. Can you believe it? It is almost spring AGAIN. Can you believe how slow and how fast this last year went by?!

That being said!! Did anyone else’s mom pull out the digital camera EVERY year and load up the fam into the car to go hunt for bluebonnets for yearly bluebonnet pictures??? Because let me tell ya - our fam has some dang CUTE pictures in these flowers!!

Just a reminder that I DO take family photos in between all of my weddings and bluebonnet season/spring in general is the PERFECT time to take them! Before it gets too hot and before everything dies - everything is green, lush, perfect and feels amazing!

Does anyone want to take pictures in bluebonnets this year!?

If you want to book a family session with me just go to my website and fill out the contact form so we can get you booked! (Insert bluebonnet emoji here 😂)

  • After last week I am 1000% ready to hop on a plane to a desert and let my body just sit in sand and soak up as much heat and sun as possible. Anyone else? ☀️🌵⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
January and February are always my planning months. I usually don’t have weddings or many shoots or travel during these months and I plan out my year, upcoming weddings and trips. And this year is going to be a good one. As I look back on pictures from this past year like this one and all of the places I got to go even in the midst of such a crazy time it makes me giddy for the new places I will get to go this year.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That being said - I have sooooo many trips coming up and will be taking sessions wherever I am with no added travel fees since I will already be there!!! If you have been wanting to go on an adventure or have me shoot it check my travel schedule in my highlights or on my website to see where I will be this year! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Also I am ALWAYS down to add more if I am not going where you want to shoot….lets travel together!! ✈️

  • WOW. What a WEEK. 🥶

All my Texas people - how are you doing!? Do you have water/power back yet? I know so many people lost water or still don’t have it, had pipes bust flooding apartments and homes and some who got sick from last weeks ice storm. And I just wanted to check in with my community after a much needed sunny weekend.

The sun has come out, the snow is FINALLY gone and I am praying spring comes sooner than we think. I have been praying for our state and those affected all week and I just want to hear from you!

If you had a hard week - How are you doing now? Do you need anything?
And those of you that are okay now and reflecting back - how was last week? What memories did you make in the midst of the craziness? Did you go sledding? Ice skating? Build snowmen or cooked dinner in your fire place? I want to hear alllll your stories!

We drug a sled behind our gater and “snowboarded” lol it was so fun. We melted snow to flush toilets, bundled up on cold days, my dogs went WILD in the snow and my sister walked on our POOL. Insane week.

Let me know how your doing or how last week was for your fam!! ❄️❄️❄️

  • This week has been really scary for Texas.

Thankfully Aaron and I found a warm place to stay that had power and water for the most part this week but there are SO many who are freezing, without power, water or food. Pipes have been busting, flooding homes, delivery trucks are unable to get to stores so shelves are empty, the power grid in Texas could not withstand the surge of usage and rolling blackouts and complete loss of power left millions freezing in their homes, water plants are contaminated and lots of pipes completely frozen leaving so many without it..

So much has happened this week, but it almost felt like everyone was not surprised by another historical event taking place and bringing fear with it. After last year, I think a lot of people were ready to fight the fear, stand up and weather the storm (literally). There were some days fear crept up on me too, but then I’d look out at so many Texans building igloos, working together to keep each other warm, sharing water, helping neighbors with food and shelter and enjoying the snow together.

The reality can be scary, and I am praying for all those who have been effected and are hurting right now from this storm. But I am so thankful that there are even more willing to help and willing to choose joy when the devil wants you to choose fear.

This week we got cold, we boiled water, we jumped house to house, we bundled up, we played in the snow, we went sledding, we build fires and we make snow angels. I am so thankful for a life that is so full of joy. ❄️

Stuck in a snowpocalypse & dreaming of desert weather, the sun & summer....🌵
  • To say I’ve never wished for summer more in my life is an understatement.

If you didn’t see in my stories - we are not doing too great right now down here. Texas does not experience freezing temperatures often, if ever, year round. Our homes are not equipped for it, our electricity cannot withstand the increase in demand, our pipes are not built for the cold and our people aren’t used to it. Right now we are in a state wide panic and it is terrifying. There’s thousands without power, access to heat or water. The power hadn’t come on for some for over 24 hours. This morning it was -7 degrees.

Everyone is making the most of it, plying in the snow we don’t normally get to enjoy and sharing water, firewood and homes that have heat. But we are all ready for the snow to melt, the electricity to come back and spring to start for SURE. Pray for Texas and let’s hope that the next few days go by fast and the warmth comes back sooner than later!!!

I’ve always said I’m a summer person but man do I HATE winter right now. 😅🥶❄️
