If I could choose to be an animal, I would love to be a bird. Their freedom, and ability to see this beautiful planet from above, soaring over locations that man can hardly access, where humans have not touched/destroyed the environment - the idea thrills me! I love pandas 🐼, squirrels 🐿️, penguins 🐧 and many other animals, but I don't think their life is as exciting and enjoyable as a bird's life can be. And maybe because of that, I can't help it but always look for the highest place in every single town, and fall in love with the clouds when I am flying over a new destination. That might even explain by obsession with drones 🤷🏻♀️ ::: What about you? What animal would you choose to be?
When you try to be a bailarina, but you fail big time 🙈🙈🙈 ::: I could spend hours saying how great Iceland actually is. The nature, the unpopulated beautiful landscapes, the mountains, the snow, the stars, the northern lights (shame we didn't get to see them 😔). Instead, I will let the pictures speak for themselves ☺️ ::: This shot was taken on a spot close to the amazing, crowd free Gerðuberg Cliffs, in Snæfellsnes peninsula. It was one of my favourite places in Iceland (will post one picture from these cliffs in few weeks! ☺️).
My first post from Venice, one of the most popular and beautiful places in this world. It trully is a wonderful place! 🇮🇹 ::: Italy is a beautiful country, everyone knows that. It seems unfair how a country has so much beauty, and has literally everything you wish for: good food, good weather, beautiful landscapes. ⛰️ You want mountains surrounded by beautiful lakes? Italy got it. 🦀You want beaches to relax? Italy got it. 🏘️ You want to wander around colourful houses? Italy got ya. 🍕You want one of the best ice creams in the world, pizza, pesto, lasagna, pasta, cannelloni? Italy will not disappoint you. 🏛️ You love history, ruins, architecture, art? Welcome to Italy. 🛶 You dreamed about a city built over the water, with no cars, where the only way to commute is by foot or by boat? Italy made it come true! ::: Aff... How unfair but fabulous can you be Italiaaaaaaaaa! 👌🇮🇹
Can't believe we're past the middle of the month! How quick this year has been! It feels like I was in Brazil just few days ago, but Christmas is right around the corner soon. ::: For those who did not follow on stories, I will be visiting a secret destination in 3 weekends ☺️ You will find out where I am going on the day! 🤪 ::: For now, I leave you a picture from Pão de Açúcar, one of the most popular attractions in Rio de Janeiro. It has wonderful views over the town, an area where you can see little monkeys jumping around papaya trees, and many stands selling delicious açaí bowls. What else could you ask for? 😍
Yesterday's post I asked about what makes you happy in life, and I loved the answers. They were so varied! ::: Everyone has something different they value, and that's why we need to stop trying to understand others through our narrow point of view. Everyone is different, and just because I don't think the same way, that doesn't mean it is a wrong way of thinking. ::: I've been always like a bird. I like to be free. I love travelling the world, be self-employed, own my own **it and live different experiences, even if that means living away from the place I grew up. I love the type of relationships that give me space and freedom, but support me in my craziness. Other people I know would rather live a happy, settled life in the same small town they grew up in, working a fixed, stable job and spending their free time with family, preparing large dinners and barbeques. They are happy in their closed circle of friends, and would not imagine a week, not even a month away from them. Is there anything wrong with me or them? No! We're just happy living different types of life. And that's completely fine ☺️ ::: If the life you're living does not make you happy, change it. If what you do day by day brings a smile to your face, keep it, no matter what other people might say. There's only one being who knows your heart and can judge you, and even He loves you despite the goods and bads you do, so don't you worry about what anyone else has to say. 💕💕
What makes you trully happy? ❇️ Most people think about buying a house, a good car, having a wealthy life... But have you thought about the tiny things life offer us that trully, trully make us happy? For some is being with family, for others is travelling, for others is seing the sunset at a beach every now and then, dance, surf, play football, camping, spending time with people we love, pets we love, or doing something we love. There's so much beauty in life 🦋, and it's up to us to realize what makes us feel alive, and enjoy it as much as we can. Poor or rich, we can be happy if we find happiness in the little things 🦔 ::: What about you? What do you trully enjoy doing in life?
The best thing about shooting with a dress is being able to twirl around and feel like a princess 👑✨ ::: This was also taken in Castle Combe, one of the England locations I visited in April this year. For those visiting, I would highly recommend hiring a car. From London, you have to take a train to Chippenham. From there, the journey to Castle Combe would be 34min by bicycle (I guess taking the bike with you on the train would be a good idea) or 14min by car. There is a bus which is not very frequent and do not run during weekends or bank holidays. There are taxis but it will add add up to more £30-40 (return fare). So, let's just say it's worth planning it ahead! 👌
One more day to WEEKEND!! 🎉 I always get excited about Friday because soon it's time for the weekend. This weekend I am going to race karts again, couldn't be more excited. What about you? Any exciting plans for the weekend? 🙂
Let's talk about DREAMS ✨ Some of us dream a lot more than others. Or maybe, some of us believe in making these dreams come true much more than others. I have always been a dreamer, since I can remember. I would dream about something, and do everything I could to make it happen. As stubborn as I am (♉), I wouldn't quit until I had what I wanted, or until I realized that was nothing more I could do, and maybe, that wasn't God's plan for my life. But one thing I can say: dreams are only dreams because they haven't turned reality. When you trully want something, fight for it, no matter how much effort you have to put in it, and no matter what other people might say about you. It might take a while. There are no short cuts, and there's no point in comparing yourself to others who have achieved what you're aiming for. But, if you trully desire it, and fight for it, it will no longer be a dream soon. Don't lose focus, keep fighting, and believe that you deserve always better. Only look back to be grateful for your journey so far. ::: ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️ People have laughed at my face when I said I would like to have a career in the sports field. My dad completely disapproved it, and everyone around me said I was too fatty, uncoordinated and unfit for it. My physical education teacher asked me on my first class what was I doing in a sports course. At university, my swimming teacher said I wouldn't be able to do the course because I can't swim for health reasons, and he wouldn't allow me to pass on that subject. At the end of my course, I had a knee injury that compromised my teaching and even walking. But I kept fighting. My last employer said I was just a brat who knew not what I wanted to do with my life when I quit my fixed fitness job to go work in a bakery in a different country just because I wanted a better life. Barriers will come. People will tell you you won't make it. But you have nothing to fear. Fight for it, cause no one else can do it for you. And remember: dreams, are only dreams until you turn them into your reality. ❇️✨
Lately I have been posting a lot about London so here is one more 🙈 As I shared the other day, Kew Gardens has also a Japanese Pagoda 🙂 I love Japanese Gardens and their pogodas, trully admire how different their architecture is. ⛩️ ::: I have watched Anime since I was 13 years old, and so, Japanese culture has been always a thing to me. Anyone out there watches Anime too? If yes, what's your favourite one?
About two weeks ago I posted a picture from the beautiful skyscrapers of Canary Wharf. Today I bring you one of the most interesting things to visit, in my opinion, in this location: The Crossrail Place Roof Garden 🙂 To get here, you need to enter a tunnel, that then leads you to a cafe area. You have nice views to the region, a botanic roof garden and even a piano to play music if you wish. It's not a big garden, but you can expect to feel relaxed and maybe have that Singapore feeling while in there. ::: If you're in London, you shouldn't miss visiting Canary Wharf, and this beautiful spot! Save for later so you don't forget about this place 😉
Happy Saturday everyone! Hope you're having an amazing weekend so far 🙂 Today I bring you one more flower shot 🥰🌸🌺 This was also taken at Kew Gardens, London. Swipe to see more pictures of this beautiful place 😄 ::: Autumn is almost here, and I am missing the Spring 🙈🙈 It has been really cold in London in these last two days, but I am not ready to let go of the Summer! What's your favourite season?
Have you ever thought about the possibility of living in a world without colours? Without taste? Without smell? How boring would that be! There's so much beauty in colourful gardens, rainbows, blue ocean beaches, green forests and mountains. Smelling flowers, the ocean, a nice perfume or someone cooking one of our favourite meal. Ah... Let's not talk about how grateful I am for the fact that food tastes differently, because we could be here the whole day 🤤🤤 My point is... We are so lucky to live in such a complex, unique, beautiful world. So let's be grateful for it, appreciate it, and take good care of it. For I would love my kids to be able to see the same that I do today 🙏🙏 ::: This was taken in Richmond Park. Richmond it's beautiful during spring time. Not only you get to see dears, but you get also the change to wander around beautiful, colourful gardens.
Be happy for what you got, and do more of what fills your heart. 💕 Happiness shouldn't be something we wait for, but something we seek every day ☺️ it's finding the positive in hard situations, and surrounding ourselves with good people. ::: If you have never been to London, you might not know that there is a beautiful, quite long canal, that looks nothing like this big city. There are people living in boats by the canal, and some of them even own a tiny docking unit that they decorate, put up benches, books, and invite you to seat if you're around! They basically welcome people to relax by their garden. Isn't that wonderful? ::: I will post on stories some pictures of this place if you're interested!
