Monday’s #wordsofwisdom courtesy of @jameelajamilofficial ✨ it’s a worthy goal to just be content with who you are, wherever you are on your journey. But damn is it hard. There’s always a professional course, a beauty product, an exercise regimen that will make me better — because I’m not enough right now, in the present. And that thinking/buying cycle goes on forever. Working on disrupting it 💪🏼💥
Yum Yum! Dog Treats 🐶 A personal project for #NewKoriko where we allowed ourselves to design freely in our style. How liberating! No prompt, no parameters, just complete creative freedom to build a brand around sweet pups. ⠀ ⠀ We took inspiration from @wayfarerdesignstudio and her #creativehealthday concept. As she suggests, we didn't agonize over it. We made it quick and clean, because finished is better than perfect. And amen to that! 🙌
We see so many new faces here in our Koriko community — hello there! 👋 We’re so happy and grateful to have you here. In case you don’t know, Koriko is run by a sister team, Raquel (left) and Erica. Let’s all get to know each other! ⠀ ⠀ ✖️ Raquel here! Some things you might find interesting about me: I am a chocolate fiend. I have a Master’s degree in Technical Art History from the University of Glasgow in Scotland. Every week I take classes in Korean and Hip Hop as well as other dance classes. Am I training to be a K-pop idol? No comment. I’m a married lady with a sweet Shiba/Shepherd named Keiko. And I live in Minneapolis!⠀ ⠀ ✖️ And I'm Erica! About me: In my day job, I work for a nonprofit business incubator (a perfect complement to Koriko), and am obsessed with The Great British Bake Off. My friends and I recently won 2nd place at a Gingerbread building competition (which can only be credited to the skills I learned via osmosis from the show). And any downtime I have is spent with my husband, 2-year-old son, and three dogs on the trails by the James River – one of the best things about Richmond! ⠀ ⠀ We would love to hear from you too - seriously! With chocolate + baking, obviously we love sweets. What's your favorite sweet treat? 🍰
The day has arrived! ⚡Today is not just the *soft* launch of our new website, but it is also the reveal of SO many other things that have been going on behind the scenes at Koriko for many months now. And it's all revealed on our online home.⠀ ⠀ WHAT'S NEW?⠀ 〰️ We now design + build websites! Not everyone should be on one site vs. another – it all depends on your type of business. So we design on Squarespace, Shopify, and Webflow (we built our site on the latter... and we LOVE it).⠀ ⠀ 〰️ THREE new creative projects we designed to show off our skillz, but also to put out into the world the kind of work we'd love to be doing. We'll be revealing more about each in the coming weeks, but explore our Portfolio page to see branding + websites for an arcade, a florist shop, and a dog treat company.⠀ ⠀ 〰️ Finally .... A defined Koriko style! A year ago when we started our business we struggled with this. We were used to designing off a prompt, so how could we know what we, as individuals, liked? We took the past 4+ months to figure it out, and now we have it, totally fleshed out on our site. Why try to describe it when you can see for yourself? #linkinbio ⠀ Please do hop onto our IG Stories to see where a year with Koriko has taken us... and let us know what you think of the site! What questions do you have? Who do you think could benefit from our services? Let us know there, or down below!
Happy spooky season to all! 🍂 We’re celebrating with the self-care spirits destined for the bathhouse in #SpiritedAway. The warm, rich tones of this #colorpalette are both strangely comforting and eerie. | #KorikoMoodboard #studioghibli
