Hands up if you've enjoyed receiving our newsletter in lockdown? 🖤 Putting together the newsletter has been super important to us. We always wanted to do it, but when lockdown happened, it became a priority as we knew it would make a difference to helping our businesses get found online. We've loved putting it together and although it's most definitely kept us on our toes, it's very much felt like a vital part of our business.💗 🖤 Of course it's not all about us at all. We have been lucky to have contributions from a huge array of businesses and individuals over the last few months. With 11 issues over as many weeks, we've had contributions from in the region of 20 people! Some, only at a moments notice! 🙈. Thank you so much for everyone who has contributed, we love everything you've shared. We also love that we've created a piece that's for the community, BY the community and we think that's important to keep alive. 🖤 We said that we'd keep issuing it weekly until most businesses were open in July, but we've decided from today it will be issued fortnightly. This gives time to source and create content, but also to make more changes to support you all in our new normal. 🖤 Blog submission is open to anyone, just get in touch to discuss concepts and requirements. We will prioritize member businesses and would love to encourage all of you to submit content. 🖤 If you've not signed up to our newsletter yet, you can do so on the homepage of our website, to receive the next issue 3rd July. 🖤 Thanks for reading! 🙋♀️ (Ran out of tag space...also tagging @sylarmagic )

Have you read our blog by @zest_yoga ? Annabel shared her experiences of keeping her business going through lockdown and how she used Zoom to create a virtual studio. 🧘♀️ Who's been to Zoom exercise in lockdown? How did it compare for you? 🧘♀️ I've loved doing classes online over the last few months and have been grateful for the opportunity to to stay fit, but more importantly it's helped support my mental health at a challenging time and enabled connection to the community. Huge respect to the fitness community for making this leap! 🧘♀️ If you want to hear more about Annabel's experiences going online and how she thinks it's worked for her, click on the link in our profile. 🧘♀️ 📸 by @image.bliss.photo

I spotted this quote in a post by the awesome Leanne @brighterbirthing_hypnobirthing and I thought YES - this sums up what being a small business is all about! 🖤 Small business is about human connection and as humans we can all have an impact on the lives of other humans. With a small business there's a : face and there's a heart and a soul. If you do business with them, then you will find out about and connect with all of these things.😊 🖤 And yes to Leanne too. If you don't know her already, she's a Hypnobirthing Teacher based in Tring who also runs pre and postnatal support. I can't think of a greater impact than supporting couples bringing their babies into the world and I'm quite sure all her couples are endlessly grateful for the work she does. 🖤 As businesses we may be small, but our impact most definitely is not!
