Hard to swallow… 😖 So often when I take on a new client they have a negative story about what they were doing before: “I tried the cabbage soup diet but it didn’t work” “I had a PT that was into CrossFit workouts but that didn’t work” “Intermittent fasting didn’t really work” Sound familiar? The fact is that we are always looking for a short term solution to avoid PAIN. A quick lottery win, to solve financial issues. Prescription pills in place of therapy and conversation. The physiological process of losing fat (and building muscle) is cumulative. There’s no way to “hack” it. So there’s no way to move the needle without work. It’s TINY changes, day in day out. Each tiny changes comes from a mix of stimulus, recovery and energy balance. It’s all work. Every client I’ve worked with that got amazing results simply followed the plan, and put the work in. Not starvation, not bone shattering bodybuilding workouts or endless cardio…. But consistent work. Tag a mate that needs to see this! My Top 3 Ab tips (harsh ones) 🥴 The holy grail of the male physique aspiration. Somehow it’s become THE symbol of male sexuality and masculinity (well apart from an actual 🍆 and that’s not Insta friendly) As you know I like to give “reality based” tips, and I don’t subscribe to mainstream BS or general fitness media crap. The stuff influencers will tell you....that they copied from another dumb influencer. 1️⃣ Genetics all day long. Choose your parents carefully. Sorry, but it’s the main factor. If you’re not happy with this well at least it’ll reset your expectations and you can stop doing crunches every day. 2️⃣ Lighting. Who’d have thought what a difference light can make. Your favourite dumb influencer spends hours taking the right shot at the right angle in the right light WHILST selling you their amazing ABs pdf. (I took this dirty selfie in my bedroom and spent about 5 seconds, but to be fair the light was decent) 3️⃣ Diet. Finally a less harsh one. This is the thing you’ll be more likely to screw up on. Because training is FUN, being in a Calorie deficit can SUCK. Simple as. (See my last post!) With some support and accountability you can 100% make significant improvements to your abs.
