Happy Birthday @joshfowler !!!! 36 looks fabulous on you. ❤️ I cannot believe the kids and I are so lucky to have you in our lives. You’re funny, bold, strong and loving. You give us all a fresh perspective on life. I’m so thankful to be doing life with you by my side. The sign in our bathroom says it all- I’d rather do nothing with you, than something with anyone else. ❤️
How is my baby SEVEN??? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Exercising a compelling charm which inspires devotion in others. That's how the dictionary defines charismatic. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I can't think of a phrase that describes Zane more than that. You meet him and are instantly compelled to do whatever he wants. Before you know it, you're holding ice cubes in your bare hand or pushing him on the swing or opening a cheese stick for him to eat. It's like you're in a trance and that little face flashes a big smile and you just keep doing whatever he wants. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Quarantine has given us so much time with him, and I'm forever grateful for his health through it all. A time that started out super scary (health wise) ended up as the most valuable gift ever. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ He got a microphone and a microphone stand for his birthday, so y'all are in for a lot of related instastories! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #birthday #happybirthday #esophagealatresia #wecouldhavemissedthis
Maybe I'm extra sappy because COVID has rearranged this year so much, but seeing Liz + John in love and ready to get married has me all emotional! Also, this was one of those sessions where I get in the car afterwards and just can't stop smiling. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I get to do this. I get to photograph their wedding. Out of all the photographers in the world, the chose me. Literally, John proposed in front of the Eiffel Tower. Talk about some instagram envy! I was alllll up in Liz's feed looking at those gems!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ They share some of their love story and it was just awesome. Awesome to hear stories, to share in their lives, and the promise of a different future than what 2020 has brought so far.
Our kids have officially deemed June 17th as Family Day in our house. It's a day of celebration, and I'm pretty certain there will be copious amounts of ice cream involved. I can't think of a better way to spend this rainy Wednesday! So if you need an excuse for slamming down some sugar today, just tell yourself you're celebrating Family Day with the Fowlers!
I’m thankful for Richard and Mildred Loving. For standing up and fighting for their rights. “When Richard and Mildred Loving were arrested, imprisoned, and banished from Virginia for their interracial marriage in 1958, they faced a part of the long-standing systemic and institutionalized racism that continues today. Let's commit to educating ourselves about the systems that harm the Black community.” -from LovingDay.org
