So... last week I basically fell off the face of the earth. Unless you were one of my clients, my husband, or my family you probably weren’t in touch 🙈 And even then, it wasn’t the quickest reply. After what was one of the wackiest weekends last week (including an ER visit at 2:30 am with a toddler and ending with him being sick for a week) I slipped out today for some much needed R&R at @theworkschs to get my head right for the week ahead. Delivering ALLLLLL the galleries this week, finishing up shoot Directives for upcoming shoots, and finalizing details for so many projects. I’ll see you soon PA, DC, and NY!!! 📷 @abbymurphyphoto
Quick trip to G-Vegas for a brand session with this lady! @lindsaygeorgeevents thank you for the most fun day! Can’t even wait to see how the year unfolds for you!
All. The. Edits. this morning. The weekend got a little wonky but we are showing up this Monday 💃🏽 Hitting send on galleries and drinking all the coffee. Loved every minute of this session for @lindleybattlephotography with a team of creative ladies that made it pretty close to perfect! One of the things Lindley spoke about during our planning call was highlighting the degree of care she puts into the details. So fun watching her style 🙌🏻
Kick-off your shoes and put a record on, it's Friday!! Hope you all treat yourself to a little rest and relaxation this weekend! Also how precious and carefree are @lindleybattlephotography and her pup?!?
Alright friends! The Shoot Directive blog post is live! You can find the link in my bio if you’re interested in seeing how the process of creating one works! Don’t forget to hop back over when you’re done and let me know what you think! 📷 from @jessicarourke brand session and her gorgeous client brief!!
There’s a recurring theme I’ve seen over the last year with clients I’ve worked with. Most of them have been in a place of transition, launching something new, or celebrating the longevity of their business by digging in a little deeper. Honestly I feel like all of these are cause for celebration in this brave life of entrepreneurship and creative expression we’ve chosen!
As most of you know, travel is a non-negotiable in my life! ✈️ 🙌 I love adventure and new experiences, and I want to visit so many places, but I also love going back to the same places over and over again (mostly Italy of course!) Why go back to a place I've already been?? Because each time I visit I’m seeing it, living it and loving it with fresh eyes. I've been to Italy at drastically different stages in my life, and it never gets old. Every time I have a new perspective and appreciation for the country and how it has affected my life. Anyone else know that feeling?? Is there a special place in your life you love returning?
Last week I hinted at sharing more about Shoot Directives and that post is hitting the blog this afternoon 💃🏽 Plus be on the lookout for more info in stories, too! 🎉 Happy happy Monday
Ok so I promise I’m not switching things up again...I’m feeling right at home with brand photography. BUT I had the amazing opportunity a few weeks ago to shoot for @socialsquares and I’m still crushing on this dream home of @katemalpeli. Every single detail was so beautifully designed 🙌🏻 And I’m more than a little excited to be contributing on the regular for Social Squares! I would 💯 recommending scooting on over to check them out!! Especially if you need an image or two for Valentine’s Day!
I sat down this morning to do a monthly review and I’ll be honest, the events from the first half of the month feel like they happened 6 weeks ago. January was packed full to the brim with some pretty wonderful experiences and some not so wonderful (stomach bugs with a toddler aren’t fun). Maybe the fullness of the last few weeks is what makes it feel like it’s already the end of February. And I’m hanging on tight because February is bringing it’s own fun 🙈 This month I set REALLY big goals. And, while I didn’t reach them to the “T”, I got pretty dang close, and friends, they were scary, lofty goals! So I’m spending a quiet morning planning for NEXT month, and using that momentum all the way through!!! Raise your hand if January rocked your socks off too!!!
