bon appétit baby
Staying home could save a life. It's important that we each do our part in stopping the spread of COVID-19, especially those most at risk.Self isolation is tough, I get it. This pandemic goes deeper than what you see in the news. People are being denied life saving surgery, others are having their treatments delayed. Some people are waiting at home for their phonecall to get their results or to be updated on a loved one who is quarantined at the hospital. We stay home to help keep people safe. Think of me, and so many others who are cancer survivors with severely immunocompromised bodies. Think of us before you go about your regular day and decide to leave your home. Yes there are some people who are able to fight this disease, but to other people who are susceptible, it could mean life or death. Stay home and watch Netflix. Read a book you've been putting off. Try out that new recipe or play a game with your family. Go for a walk to exercise not socialize. We are dealing with a lot of uncertainty right now but we do have control over ourselves and our actions, so let's be smart and respectful.
I think there is a limit to how much Netflix we can handle in the day. I know reading isn't for everyone but nonetheless, I think it's important that we switch out some of those couch potato hours for couch reading hours.
