• Fear of public speaking. Apparently, the fear of public speaking is the most common phobia ahead of death, spiders, or heights. To be an entrepreneur, this is definitely one of the skills that is desirable to master. Steve Jobs was a master speaker. To be able to promote what you stand for, what you have to offer, to share you message and solution is key to building a brand, a movement, something that informs and inspires people to take action. It’s a skill you can learn and improve on, but with most things in life: you have to study and practice it. I look at this picture and smile - I have come a long way since I had a hysterical laughing fit whilst delivering a presentation of ‘The Nutcracker’ at school as a teenager. The nervousness doesn’t go away however masterful you are at standing on stage and presenting - you just turn that energy into excitement. But this is not about me speaking though. This is about offering others a chance to speak. I am organising and hosting the ‘Body, Mind and Soul’ for Female Founders Around The World by @Livetoloveeveryday on Friday 31st July. So I am looking for you who wants to have a chance to share their stories and solution. Whether you are a novice or shy, or established and suave. Because I was brought up, like many others, to not stick out, to fit in, to please. So there will be an underlying, subconscious fear of being judged. But if the belief that the work that I do have value, can help others, allows others to also express themselves creatively and be productive - then why am I hiding? And are you hiding your super power?

  • Today I was pondering on my current goals: were they still inspired, are they coming from my heart and not head, am I forcing it or allowing myself to receive it? I have learnt in the last few years that it’s sometimes useful to remind myself that “making it happen” is the opposite of powerful. Instead, being open to letting magical moments unfold and for what I desire to show up. So as we were walking in the woods not far from us, this magical tree appeared. 🌳 Who needs a play park when nature already provides in abundance for what we seek? And then, as I took the photo, the lens flare appeared - and the rainbow showed up. What does it mean? Nothing - and everything. Here’s to an inspired life 🌈 .
