  • It’s no secret that we love our partnership with @proastcoffee, an amazing local roaster that provides a Daily Drinker blend of coffee for each of our rentals.

Proast updates their blend seasonally and this next batch has an incredible story! And our guests can look forward to enjoying this blend over the next couple of weeks.

From Proast: Kicking off this blend is a coffee grown in the Western Highlands of Papua New Guinea. Traceable to a group of smallholder farms in the village of Kenta, it is grown at some of the highest elevations in the region - a great thing for flavor. Think tart cherry and caramelized sugar. The coffee supply chain in PNG can be very difficult to navigate, but very rewarding in the cup. So we are glad to have it in our rotation.

To give the blend a nice, full body and a chocolate core that compliments that caramelized sugar, we turned to the Cajamarca region of Peru. The conditions in Santo Domingo de la Capilla are perfect in every way for growing high quality coffee and it shows. It also helps that the farmers are not messing around when it comes to their standards of harvesting. They are willing to do however many pickings they have to in order to get the coffee cherries off the shrub at their ripest.

Lastly, but certainly not least, we just had to “pepper” this blend with a little dry-processed Yirgacheffe for added complexity and sweetness. The village of Edido is known for this type of “garden coffee,” where it is grown amongst other fruits and vegetables in small, individually-owned plots. We wish OUR garden had sensational coffee growing in it!
