“You can’t make a living as a photographer.” (The equivalent to “you can’t make a living as an artist”.) I hear this a lot, even though sometimes it’s masked by different words or spoken with a facial expression instead. I’ve been beating the odds since long before I became a photographer. “You’re getting a degree in music? What are you going to do with that?! Seems like a waste of time.” But I didn’t let that stop me from building a life on being a musician, either. Here’s what I’ve learned in the past ten years or so: Doing what you love and what you are passionate about is NEVER a waste of time. Pouring your heart, soul and talent into something you were created to do is NEVER a waste of time. Don’t confuse this to say “it’s easy” or “it won’t be frustrating” or “there won’t be times you question everything” because those are crazy expectations. But is it worth it? Absolutely.
Making your Mondays prettier since 2017 ✨
In case you’re wondering how yesterday went... it was PERFECT. No other word describes it. Carly was stunning and Zach was beaming with pride for his new wife. ❤️ Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Parker! Have so much fun in St. Lucia!
These two beautiful humans are getting married today!!! 💍 I have been looking forward to Carly & Zach’s wedding ever since she and I met for coffee back in August. What better way to celebrate my first wedding of the season than with a SUNNY spring day on my favorite campus in the world?! Leave these two some love and check back later for a sneak-peek at their special day!! 💕
