Anyone else feel like your soul has been just a little beat up this year? Yeah, me too. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Let’s get real for a minute. This year has had some really amazing highs, but it feels like so many more than a fair share of lows. I don’t know anyone that hasn’t been deeply affected is some way from the pandemic, fires, hurricanes, earthquakes, floods, cancer, inequality, job loss, business closing, anxiety, depression, loss . . . It’s all so, so incredibly heavy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I was reading God’s word the other day and came across this verse, a verse I’ve read hundreds of times and have had etched in my brain and on my heart since third grade Sunday school with Mrs Long. Psalm 23 has always been soothing to my soul. Even as a little girl, this psalm resonated deep inside of me. It’s giving me peace today, once again. He restores my soul. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ How are you doing friends? I really want to know. Feel free to comment or DM me.
I wish I was in sunny Arizona right now getting ready to learn from the best in the biz at Showit United, but instead I'm cozied up at home getting ready to enjoy United Apart. It might look a little different, as all things these days do, but I can't wait to join in virtually. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @showit @showitunited ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #showiteer #karenshoufler #travelweddingphotographer
PURE JOY! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Alice and Erik had to change their plans for their wedding day, as did most couples getting married this year. What they ended up with was the most beautiful, intimate ceremony in the woods and celebration in the backyard full of JOY and love and meaning. From the moment Erik saw Alice walking toward him to the second they were announced as husband and wife, this look of joy never left their faces. I can't wait to celebrate with them again in 2021 with all of their friends and family. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #karenshoufler #karenshouflercouple #chicagoweddingphotographer #chicagowedding #travelweddingphotographer
Sundays are for cozy cuddles and planning for the week. I have tried and tried to get used to using all of the cute planners, but in reality, I'm just not that girl. I have a very organized, color-coded Google calendar system and then just use a notebook for my weekly checklist. It works so well for me. What do you use for planning out your week?
