• Would you believe me if I told you this was a moon rise? Magical moment from my mommy weekend getaway to Dewey beach. Watching an orange moon rise up from the ocean - with bright red Mars to the right - was something I’ll never forget. I can never capture the full beauty of the moon, but we figured out how to use my night photo option on iPhone while also using a flashlight - and somehow captured a glimmer.   • Were you good at sharing as a kid? With my three year old, sharing is a work in progress. Personalized books that look like your little are a great way to help them visualize what you’re trying to teach, and I’m in love with the illustrations from @canolikids Not only are the books beautiful and personalized, but they also have multiple topics and lessons to choose from. I picked learning to share and learning to apologize - both big conversations in our household right now 😂 More images in stories! #gifted

  • Who else has a train obsessed kiddo? 🙋🏼‍♀️😂 This moving train piece we were gifted from @tinylandus is honestly a must have for any train set! If you’re like us, you probably have a collection of different train pieces - having an engine that moves and connects to all our trains finally completed our set. My favorite part of this toy is how easy it is to work. My three year old figured it out instantly (3 buttons on top that make it go forward, backward, and stop.) Michael loves the train sounds and watching the lights change when he switches from forward to backward. Highly recommend for all the train loving littles out there! Inexpensive and provides a lot of entertainment. 🔗Link in bio, check it out!🔗

Visiting family in Richmond and had to check out the “Treasures of Ancient Egypt: Sunken Cities” exhibit at the @vmfamuseum Showcases artifacts that had been sitting underwater for 1200+ years. Surreal. A reservation is required - and because I’m a member at the @shenandoahvalleymuseum I am automatically a member at the VMFA as well. Great perk! It was so nice to go to a museum again. Can’t wait to do Smithsonian next 😊 Middle 📸 cred: @katieabbott_rdn

Can I just say how nice it is to sit outside in the sun, drinking some vino?   • Did you love bugs as a kid? What was your favorite insect? My son is a HUGE bug person. Anytime we see an ant, cricket, bee, etc - he points it out. I wasn’t really a bug kid, but I have great memories of chasing lighting bugs around at night. And I love lady bugs and bees 🐞🐝 The @shenandoahvalleymuseum has an amazing Big Bugs Outdoors exhibit running through Nov 15. Great way to be outside in the cooler weather and discover all the gigantic, man made bugs. And the gardens themselves are beautiful. 🥰
