Peyto Lake looks absolutely magical with a light dusting of snow ❄ . Last year we managed an afternoon trip up to one of our favorite places. It was our first time seeing Peyto with snow and it did not disappoint! I had hoped to go again this winter, but with a newborn it just didn't seem like a good idea. So for now, I'll just reminisce with past photos and look forward to all of the adventures we will embark on this year! . *Safety precautions were taken. Our favorite little adventurer was in no danger before, during, or after this image was created. .
The cold has had us all feeling cooped up and bored. Buttons were pushed and patience tested; spring feels like a lifetime away 🥶🥶 . To pass the time and encourage creativity through our miserable -40 weather, I've continued working my way through a couple of @meg_nlo's photography classes and also joined a Project 52 with @p52clicks. This weeks continuing challenge was low-light and I think miss Henley and I nailed it with this image! . #ultimatephotoedit #p52_lowlight .
We had a good thing going with the crib; until yesterday. When I walked in after naptime, Beck was proudly perched on the bedside table. It was bittersweet, but we embraced this milestone and made last night his first night in a big boy bed. He was over the moon excited! Recently I indulged in one of @meg_nlo photography courses and along with new shooting & editing techniques, the course also inspired me to document more moments like this; our excited little boy in his big boy bed, clutching his favorite bedtime book 💙
'Every girl should have two things: a dog, and a mother willing to let her have one' - Anonymous . In 2016 we said a heartbreaking goodbye to our Bullmastiff; our Dachshund was a wreck from the grief of losing his best friend. In 2017 while I was pregnant with our son, we opened our hearts to another little Dachshund and although the beginning introductions were rocky, Maple and Dozer became snuggle buddies. In 2019, while pregnant with our daughter I came across a beautiful litter of Bullmastiff x Olde English Bulldog puppies and I knew in that moment that one of them would be joining our family 🐕 . Our pretty girl Mocha is just shy of a year old and is the best companion and guardian to our daughter, who absolutely adores her puppy. .
I think we're all excited to see what adventures this year will bring us; I know for sure that there will be more road trips, more mountains, and definitely more exciting experiences for my littles 🌻🌲 .
Hello 2020 ✨ .
