U-M Giving Blueday is on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, and this year, we are again prioritizing our Strategic Fund, which provides crucial resources for curriculum development, updated laboratories and instrumentation for teaching and research, and building community among students, faculty, staff, and alumni.

Last week, we hosted the annual Bartell Lecture with guest speaker Professor Justin Wilson from UC Santa Barbara, titled "Chelator Design Strategies and Applications for Biology and Critical Minerals."
This event was organized by undergraduate students in Alpha Chi Sigma, the professional chemistry fraternity. The lecture was a great success and drew an impressive turnout!

This past weekend, our #MichiganChem first-year graduate student cohort gathered for pizza and cheered on U-M Women’s Basketball as they faced MSU!
It was a fun evening of group bonding and competition, and it ended with a big rivalry win for the Wolverines! #GoBlue #MichiganChemistry
