After being away 2 out of the last 3 days I knew I needed girl time with my daughter! It was hard but I had to work and also needed some girl time with my college friends! Today being Mother’s Day, I got LOTS of Vivienne snuggles! She took a shorter nap and was a mom clinger afterwards so I knew something was up then. Tonight the fever came about. But I loved every minute of today! This little girl has NO IDEA how she has changed me! She is my best friend and no matter how the day is going, I see her and she makes the day so much better. Whenever she sees me and screams “hi mama” it makes me melt every damn time! She lights up when she sees me and I light up when I see her! Sean and Vivienne got me a 🎈, 🌺, homemade card, card and a bracelet!! I cried happy tears or hormonal tears this morning when reading my cards!! I love being Vivienne’s mom! And also to #babypidg in my fast growing belly! Happy Mother’s Day to all of the mommy’s out there!
Together, we can change how others view infertility. It begins with being part of a national movement, National Infertility Awareness Week. This week unites millions of Americans who want to remove the stigmas and barriers that stand in the way of building families - Resolve.org. Tip #3 today is TALK ABOUT IT! I kept it to my closet friends and families. But once I opened up about it and talked to coworkers and friends, I realized A LOT of us were going through the same thing. I encourage you to, when you are ready, talk about it. If I hadn't opened up then I wouldn't have been an listener to SO MANY PEOPLE! I shared my experience with others and it encouraged them to look into the IVF process. So, today I encourage you to talk about!
Another tip for National Infertility Awareness Week, have a journal handy and to make sure to read the medicine to see if it needs to be refrigerated or not. The nurses will give you a tremendous amount of information every phone call. Better to have it all in one place and so you remember what is what. Especially when it's time to start of process and the shots have begun. The dosage will change in a few days and you don't want to jeopardize taking the wrong amount. Your frig will look like this! Fun fact - it Took me 14 months after Vivienne was born to throw away the rest of the medicine that was not used. I had a hard time letting go of it, not sure why! Write everything down! Even how you are feeling each day. This process is a roller coaster but if things don't work out, than you have a baseline of what didn't work that you can refer back too! But for you, I hope that is NOT the case!
Who else is going to be shopping for Easter candy today besides me? What's your favorite? Mine are Cadbuy eggs but my all-time favorite is Starburst Jelly Beans, YUM!!! Excited for 50% off :) Who's with me?????
It's National Infertility Awareness Week! One in eight will suffer from infertility. I'll be sharing a few tips this week from my personal experience. Just to set the expectation - I hope to touch one person's life who is debating on starting the process or not? JUST DO IT! Figure out a way to pay for it if you have too. One day, I do hope to be a part of something bigger-to make sure every family has IVF coverage! This photo represents day one when we received as a friend calls it @agrout, a baby in a box! We had 5 boxes arrive and this is just some of the supplies. It's a long and hard process but take it from me, I said I would NEVER do IVF. If I couldn't have a baby on my own, then I would travel. Now being on the other side, I would REGRET not trying and that was what helped me be more comfortable trying IVF. Tip #1 Just for it!
Happy Sunday everyone! This year my plans will consist of brunch at my uncles. And then hanging out at my parents for dessert. What are you up to today? Better yet, what Easter candy are you eating? My go-to is Starburst Jelly Beans YUM!
We will be coloring Easter Eggs together today! Excited to do this with V this year! Except our eggs won't look as good as these in the photo, but Mickey Mouse theme it is this year 😉
Vivienne will be 22 months next week and I believe we have the record for the longest hair for a 22 month old! She got it from her mama!!!
Did you know that April 18th is “Get to Know Your Customers Day”? I’d love to find out more about where you’re from and what brought you here! AND, because I’m not your average person, why don’t you also share what you're watching on Netflix or HBO 😉 #got #gameofthrones ? Go!
Well this is how I feel today as I turn 35! Mid-30's. Well, it's just a number, am I right? Cheers to turning 35! Happy Birthday to my April friends! I had a nice surprise this morning - flowers, candy, cookies and a sweet note from @spidg3 and Vivienne 😊 📷 by @nicolechanstudio
