Mares eat oats and goats eat oats... so do cattle and people! #DYK: The US is the world’s second largest oat producer, behind Europe. The majority of oats are grown for animal feed and fodder, but humans benefit from oat consumption too! Most of the time, oats are steamed and flattened to produce old fashioned oats. Flattening doesn’t strip the nutrients—because oats are rarely refined. This includes instant oats! How do you like your oats? #farming #familyfarm #autaugafarmingco #oats #oatmeal
