It can be hard to find your perfect red wine, since there is a vast number of factors to be taken into account. You need to consider your own preferences in terms of taste and region, as well as the food you’d like to pair it with. Seriously how awesome is this label from @deweystationwines?! 😍 But equally impressive is the wine - a delicious blend of Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro! 🍷😋 . Dewey Station describe this wine as a feminine Barossan blend. This not only sums it up perfectly but also suited us perfectly. We love our big Barossa reds but also can’t go past the more medium bodied, approachable styles like this beauty. Especially when it’s still light outside. ☺️ . Beautifully fruit focused and chock-full of flavour, this wine is silky, smooth and outstanding value at $25! An easy drinking blend perfect with lunch, dinner or just as good on its own! . Stoked to be able to offer such great wines like this, from awesome producers like Dewey Station on our site!! 🙌❤️
Creating a wine business and producing exceptional wine is a dream for many, but doing it with your good mate… what could be better that that?! . Craig and Mark started @purplehandswines back in 2006 and from humble beginnings, making just 100 dozen their first vintage, have gone on to be constantly producing award-winning wine and being rated a 5 Star Winery by the @winecompanion. So it is an absolute honour to announce that we are now partnering with this awesome team from the Barossa Valley! 🤗 . If you have tried Purple Hands wine, you would appreciate our excitement! Their wine was always destined to be excellent quality with Craig an award-winning winemaker and Chief Winemaker at Barossa’s iconic Grant Burge. And with Mark in charge of the sales and marketing, it’s a real team effort between these guys and we are super excited to share their wine and story on our platform. 👏 . They have a few ranges under their brand, showcasing different varieties and vineyards from the Barossa Valley and an Adelaide Hills Pinot Gris. Their wine includes the Barossa heroes like Shiraz and Grenache, but also more unique Italian varieties like Aglianico, Montepulciano and Negroamaro which are awesome! 🍷👌 . They adopt organic/sustainable practices in the vineyard and take a minimal intervention approach in the winery. The result is outstanding wine which you can check out via the link in our bio!
I don’t normally say this on a Monday… but today is a great day!! 🤗 Restrictions in Victoria are finally easing with restaurants (including wineries yay), cafes, and other hospitality businesses able to open with limited capacity (up to 20 guests). . 20 seems to be the special number, as the same goes with gatherings at houses, group sport, beauty salons, spas and outdoor gyms among other things! . So excited for all the local businesses finally able to re-open! 👏 Hope everyone remains cautious and stays safe, but enjoys getting out and about and supporting their locals!! 🍷🍝👯♀️🥰

Since we haven’t been able to go anywhere for so long, have to admit that content is running low. 😆 Thankfully there is such a day as #throwbackthursday where we can not only reminisce on old times but also utilise old photos ☺️ . This was an amazing memory last year of Tim’s bday in Nusa Ceningan, Bali. Sun, Prosecco, delicious food and stunning views... what a day! 😍 Cheers to restrictions slowly easing so we can all make some more awesome memories 🥂❤️
With winter only days away, it is well and truly red wine weather and what’s better than a midweek glass to get you through the cold, dark nights! 🥶🍷 . Pinot Noir is always a favourite for those who like a lighter style red, but we often hear the struggle wine lovers face with finding a decent bottle under $20. Well we are excited to share that we now have a great option from one of our awesome winemakers @georgieorbachwines. 🤗 . Georgie already has eight popular varieties in her range, all incredible value at just $10 a bottle and now she has added a ninth with this yummy Pinot at a very reasonable $15 a bottle. . With strawberry and spice aromas, delicious red berry flavours, and soft tannins with a hint of French oak, this easy drinking Pinot will be sure to keep you warm and happy on a winter’s night.🍷😍 You can check it out via the link in our bio!
Time flies when you’re having fun which really does explain why weekends seem to go so quickly. 😌 Hope you had a great weekend too?! . We always find it fun to try new and interesting wines, as well as our trusty fav’s, so this weekend was especially fun as we got to enjoy another fantastic, and unique wine from @purplehandswines. . This Aglianico pronounced ‘Ah-lee-an-iko is a late ripening ancient Greek varietal, now grown mainly in the Southern Italian regions of Basilicata and Campania, and has gained a reputation as ’the Barolo of the South’. . Purple Hands Wines feel this variety is ideally suited to their location in the southern end of the Barossa Valley and it seems they were right as this is an excellent wine! 🍷👌 . Must admit we hadn’t tried this variety before so didn’t really know what to expect but the beautiful fragrant aromas of blackcurrant and red liquorice really lured us in from the start. This full bodied wine with both savoury and sweet notes, high tannins and a lovely natural acidity went perfectly with our beef burgers. 😋 . Safe to say we will be on the lookout for more Aglianico in the future!! Cheers to Purple Hands for another great wine experience 🙌
Have you tried wine from @whistlerwines?? If not, highly recommend you do! Their extensive range features all of the Barossa favourites! 🍷🙌 . They have their fun, easy drinking range, with cleverly named wines with awesome labels. Great example is this “Shock Value” SMG, a delicious Shiraz, Mataro and Grenache blend that is such excellent quality, that the price it is indeed “shock” value! Whistler Wines also have an Estate Range of the more traditional varieties, worthy of the finest cellar! 👌 . Whistler Wines aims to make their beautiful 32 hectare property in the Barossa Valley as sustainable as possible, giving more back to the vineyard by improving soil health and limiting inputs in the winery to make their wines as natural as possible. Their wine comes from grapes that they grow on their property, using organic and biodynamic practices in the vineyard and a hands-off approach in the winery. . We are so proud to partner with this family-owned and operated winery and showcase their exceptional range of wine which you can find via the link in our bio. Happy Friday everyone!! 🎉🥂
