Originally a monastic settlement, the city of Cork is found in south-west Ireland lined by the River Lee, where the Cathedral of Saint Finbarr can be seen towering over the city, and where The Choir of Saint James performed its second concert of their summer tour. The cathedral is grounded in a space that dates back to the 7th century in its Christian origins and built mostly from stone which gave a resounding acoustic to the music performed by the choir. #StJamesLAtour #TravelTuesday #EverAncientEverNew

From Dublin on to Tullamore, The Choir of Saint James performed in their first concert of the tour at Church of the Assumption. The program was included as part of the Tullamore International Summer Organ Series, sharing the program with organist David Grealy. Tullamore is a large town in central Ireland with a population of around 15000. The major claim to fame is Tullamore Dew whisky, which is still produced locally. Those in attendance, including the locals of the community were very grateful and served as a welcoming, warm crowd to the voices of the choir, especially for our encore piece, an Irish favorite, arranged by Canon Buonemani, "Ag Críost an Síol" #StJamesLAtour #EverAncientEverNew
