Travel has always been in my veins and I’m thankful to my mom for exposing me at a young age and introducing me to new cultures, things to see and appreciate and experiences I’ll remember forever! This photo is a gorgeous church in the small Tuscan town of Cortona. I spent 4 days there in 2013 living in an apartment, meeting locals, photographing a maternity session in an olive orchard and even made fresh caprese salad out of our garden! Ahh vacation. As a “soloprenuer” I struggle with taking time to just relax. There’s always work to be done, education courses to watch, systems to refine and background work that needs attention. Being at the cabin this week with no WiFi has actually forced me to relax…to attempt to do nothing and just be. Take the paddle board out for an hour, go for an early morning walk, go to bed early, nap in the middle of the day, play cards with my kid over breakfast. Thankful for some legit rest but am also itching to get back to the office on Monday and crank out some work!
