Starting a blog was one of the single best decisions I’ve ever made — it’s opened more doors and given me more opportunities than I ever could have imagined. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It’s also given me STABILITY. Now that I have this skill, no matter what happens I can pivot and remain stable. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Whatever you choose to do, choose to build skills. Skills will serve you for life, even when life changes. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ You can learn to do anything these days — find something you’re passionate about and find a great teacher, then get to work! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Tag your favorite teacher and let them know the top skill you learned from them. On the fear of what people will think if you create your personal brand & put your ideas into the world: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Science shows us that the molecules (in our bodies + all objects) vibrate. Your emotions are chemical (physical) expressions of your thoughts, thus also have their own vibrations. By the transitive property, your thoughts create your vibration ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ You get to choose to shift your thought patterns. You have absolute control over the SHIFT. It’s not a choice that you had the feeling in the first place (humanness), but you do get to choose to SHIFT ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⛈ If you judge people, you will attract judgment ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 💛 If you support people, you will attract support ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⛈ If you see others as competition, you will attract people who see you as competition ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 💛 If you genuinely want to see others succeed, you will attract people who lift you up & want to see you succeed ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When low vibration thoughts appear, here are some shifts to raise your vibration: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ → You are wholly responsible for your own happiness. Instead of playing out a story of the future in your head, be open to letting things unfold in ways you can’t even anticipate. Trust that everything will work out in your favor, even if the change is unexpected ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ → You most likely do not have the full story if you’re spiraling out of control into anger or contempt. Every situation is made of multiple people having their own thoughts & feelings. Your feelings aren’t wrong, they are triggers. Don’t make assumptions based on a partial view of the story ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ → It never feels like it in the moment (trust me, never!) BUT, things do not happen “to” you, they happen “for” you. Learn the lesson so it doesn't keep happening ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ → People who vibrate at a high level do not judge other people. They operate based on “The Four Agreements” & vibrate so high that they attract mega success & support ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ → High vibrations ATTRACT success & good fortune. Low vibration REPELS those things. You can choose to attract more of what you want, or self-sabotage by repelling ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Making a shift is your choice
Over the weekend, we celebrated my Mom’s 70th Birthday 🎉 This image reminded me of when my mom turned 50 (I was 17) and lit up as she said, “ya know, I really feel like my life is just beginning! Life begins at 50!” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ My young naive self didn’t get it. But now I do. I really feel like my life is just beginning and getting better every year. It’s really a mindset, and I’m so grateful to my mom for instilling this in me. She never talked about her body or made comments about aging. Instead, she just let (and still lets) every year get better. (Also, it took me another decade to realize my mom said life begins at 50, which is the same year her youngest left for college🤔—ha.) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’m so grateful I grew up in a house that didn’t focus on the size of our waists or how many calories we ate (kids pick up everything). Instead, we just ate as healthy as we could without obsessing, and let life get better every year, knowing that tough times are unavoidable, but life can continue to get better no matter what. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ LET’S ALL BE MORE LIKE MY MOM! ❤️ if you agree below 👇🏻 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Also, all of you ladies who are 50+ or close, share with us, is this true?! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ BTW both of these women in the image are fabulous! How to be kind and make wise(r) decisions in 2020 — drop a ♥️ if you agree! 👇 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ✨ STOP the diet madness. You might think that’s strange coming from a health coach and nutritionist. But really, stop looking for a “silver bullet” diet and start being kind to your body and making wise decisions with what you eat. Eat fewer (or no) processed foods and eat more whole, real foods. There are copious amounts of information pointing to different ways to eat. Many of them say that their way is the only way, but history (and common sense) tells us that is not true. There is no one right way. If something makes you feel like shit, stop eating it. Find foods you love that nourish your body and make you feel great. There are literally thousands of foods on the planet. Eat many of them and don’t limit yourself (or your tastebuds) to a tiny little box of “rules.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ✨ STOP dining out so much. Preparing most of your own food is one of the single best things you can do for your health, regardless of what you choose to eat. You can control the nutrition, flavor and health of your food. All restaurants and prepared foods have extra ingredients (for preservation and flavor) and an unnecessary amount of excess energy (food/calories) you don’t need. Calories are not a measure of nutrition and can’t be counted alone, but an extra 500 calories of denatured oil in that thing you think is “healthy” at a restaurant isn’t doing you any favors. A burger made at home is MUCH healthier than any burger you’ll buy. Period. A salad? Same thing. Some prepared or restaurant salads are no healthier than the burger. For real folks, even “healthy” places add stuff you don’t need. Prepare most of your own food and watch your health change. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ✨ STOP taking things so personally. Everyone is having their own human experience. Taking other peoples’ actions personally is preventing you from fully expressing yourself and your gifts.
