Have you got camera confidence? .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So many of my clients feel shy and uncomfortable in front of the lens and I can totally relate! I spent many years hiding behind the camera until I decided I HAD to walk the talk, practice what I preach, and show the face behind my business.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I tell my clients, “Let’s have fun with it!” Being photogenic is a skill, you can master like any super model. Take a deep breath, roll the shoulders back, be campy and goofy, have a laugh. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ My trick is get a little dynamic movement in your images, and if you are still too stiff I will get ya moving with some movement practices! May sound comical, but it’s super helpful to get candid smiles and moments.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Give it a try next time you are in front of a camera.

This place saved my photo session from being a disaster. Upon arriving in Chicago last summer, I realized I forgot my memory cards at home in Toronto. I thought I would hit up the biggest electronic chain store I could find to save the day, but within walking a few blocks from that realization I stumbled upon this place. An old school, mom n' pop photography supply store. Amazing service experience and everything you could need for photo and film under the sun.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It was a great reminder of how special these independent businesses are and the people who run them. A great reminder to support local and small business because they create community, improve local economies and keep the community unique.

Sugar cravings anyone? . I successfully gave up sugar for 2 months. I’m talking about every type of sugar. Even fruit and the sugars found in diary products! It was tough, but I did see health improvements like weight loss and stable energy levels. . But, in the past 2 weeks when I was travelling, I couldn’t resist the temptation anymore. At first sugar tasted REALLY sweet, but then my level of tolerance for sweetness fell so quickly. Now I crave it everyday, especially in the afternoons. I am a sugar addict. I mean I seriously get a high eating sweets and have no will power lately! . Any fellow sugar addicts out there? How do you cope?
