Window 🪟🪟
Bramley Class have produced some wonderful collages, based on the book Window by Jeannie Baker. The book explores the theme of deforestation and geographical change through the view of the same window over two decades in Australia. The children recreated a window of their choice from the book. Well done Bramley!

Celebration of Colours Week- Jazz Class Make Samosas 🇮🇳🧑🍳
It’s been a super start to our Celebration of Colours Week in Jazz Class. This week, the whole school are celebrating Holi by learning all about the festival in exciting ways. Jazz Class learned about India and made samosas. They tasted them and completed an evaluation afterwards. They learned the story of Prahlad and Holika. The House Captains sold the samosas at the end of the day for donations to our house charities.

Well done to the winners of our Extreme Reading competition for World Book Day 2023! Our Infant winner is Thomas Fathers and our Junior winner is Charlie Edmunds. Visit to Prodrive 👩🔧🧑🔧
Jazz Class had an unforgettable visit to Prodrive! We were so excited to learn about what they do, different cars and races and what it takes to work at Prodrive. Everyone had a chance to sit in Colin McRae’s car and to have a close look at the trophies. We had a tour of the building and even watched a pit stop take place, which the team did in 9 seconds! We had great fun testing our knowledge with a quiz. Thank you to everyone who made our visit possible, especially the parent volunteers who helped us. The lady from Prodrive even commented on how well behaved we were!

Justice 🟨🟢🟦
Our Christian value for this term is Justice. In collective worship today, we thought about how the Bible asks us to act justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly with God and what this means. Archie shared the shapes between two people and we discussed whether it was fair or not. Some people thought it was fair because they both had six shapes. Some people thought it wasn’t fair because the shapes were all different types of shape and colours. Part of justice is being fair.
We shared an acrostic poem that helped us to understand what justice is. We thought about which part was the most important.
