Tonight we wrapped our last sermon series of the semester, “Colossians: The New Self”. If you missed any, don’t worry they can all be found in the AUXANO podcast😉
Here are the some of highlights:
📢 Colossians 1:15-20 - David Eldridge //
To know Jesus is to know God, to know the creator of all things, and to know the sustainer of all things. All things hold together in Him and by Him: Even you.
📢 Colossians 2:6-15 - Cole Griffith //
Paul is placing Jesus as the preeminent authority. He is urging the Colossians, and us- to trust that, in Christ, God has already given everything we need. Jesus is the one in who all the treasure of wisdom are found.
📢 Colossians 3:1-17 - Jacob May //
Since we have been raised with Christ we have to actively put to death the flesh and the things of it. In putting off the flesh, we are putting on the new self.
📢 Colossians 4:1-6 - Cole Griffith //
It is precisely because Christians are so heavenly minded that we are any earthy good. We, as believers, are called to show others the same forgiveness that we experienced in our new life in Christ.
