2008 Vosne-Romanee 1er Cru Cuvee Duvault-Blochet, Domaine de la Romanee-Conti, Burgundy, France • Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, commonly referred to as ‘DRC’, produces between 6,000 and 8,000 cases of wine a year, with cases of its renowned Romanée-Conti limited to around just 450. Waiting lists for its offerings are lengthy and often restricted to friends and colleagues of the estate, while average prices for its ‘entry-level’ wine, Corton Grand Cru, sits at around $2,000 per bottle. Romanée-Conti, meanwhile, can sell for upwards of $20,000 per bottle. • DRC produces eight different wines from eight different vineyards: La Tâche, Romanée Saint-Vivant, Echézeaux, Grand Echézeaux, Richebourg, La Romanée Conti, Corton and Montrachet. All of these are on grand cru sites, with two of them monopoles (fully owned sites). • The 2008 Vosne-Romanee Cuvee Duvalt-Blochet bursts from the glass with an explosion of aromas and flavors. The wine turns more subtle on the palate. Sweet, floral notes wrap around the sublime finish. The 2008 is a haunting wine graced with exquisite class and elegance. Unlike the rest of the domaine’s 2008s, it will drink beautifully pretty much right out of the gate. • 91 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate • #DRC #RomaneeConti #DomaineDeLaRomaneeConti #VosneRomanee #Burgundy #BurgundyWine #1erCru #Wine #FineWine #Sommelier #WineOclock #WineLover #WineTasting #WinesOfInstagram #wine🍷 #WineTime #🍷#Winestagram #InstaWine #WinePorn #LoveWine #Luxury #RedWine #红酒 #葡萄酒 #DuvaultBlochet
Le Pauillac de Château Latour has been made every year since 1989 primarily developed for the restaurant market. • Produced from younger vines grown at the estate that doesn’t meet the selection criteria for Forst de Latour. Typically 40% + Merlot assures accessibility when young, wines are matured in 20% new oak barrels. • Open and welcoming aromatics of blackcurrant, tobacco and damp earth with a dense and structured palate which have great texture and length. Great to drunk today, should still improve and soften over the next 5+ years.
Who makes your favourite producer of Nebbiolo? • Roagna is up there, we drunk it last week. The wine delivered deep flavours of dry and fresh cherries with liquorice, smoke and freshly turned earth with full body, depth and freshness.
@chateauangelus 2015 blends 62% Merlot and 38% Cabernet Franc, matured in 100% new oak. Aromatics at this stage are somewhat reserved, mix of bright red and dark 🍒 with blue and red plums seasoned with allspice, tobacco leaf and minerals. Aromatics are well composed and neat, however palate is where this wine excites being unapologetically full and structured mid-palate which is dense, tactile and fresh all at the same time being extremely pleasurable and long. Clearly this wine needs another 20+ years to show its full potential. 😊
🙏 Naoko & Maya Dalla Valley for sharing your great wines with us. We had three vintages, 2014/2015 and 2016 which showed extremely well, being finer and deeper than the others presenting wonderful lenght and mineral freshness. @lisapbmw of Wine Advocate rewarded Maya @dallavallevineyards 2016 with well deserved 100 points, my congratulations. 🍷🌟
Rich and opulent with proportion of mineral depth.....I love the generosity of Chambertin Grand Cru in 2018.......🤤
🙏 @claire_frenchie @chateau_leovillepoyferre for your time, energy and of course delicious wines. They all shown their individuality, unsurprisingly the winner was 2010 @chateau_leovillepoyferre which combined extremely well richness and power with harmonious, bright depth of freshness. Excellent today with plenty of upside potential. 🍷
Nicole Lamarche produced lively and energetic wines in challenging 2018 vintage. La Grand Rue 2018 has been mature in 40% new oak with addition of 40% whole bunch. • Long, mineral attack with compact core seasoned with red 🍒, spiced red plums seasoned by red pepper, potpourri and 💨 . Silky, fine and extremely energetic.🍷
