Often when he’d get up out of his chair, if he struggled or had aches and pains, he’d say: “Every picture tells a story”.

(Side note, my mum now says it in the same context!).

And how right he was.

Every picture DOES tell a story.

Every visual conveys a message. 

What story do your brand visuals tell?

The other week I was driving, singing along to the soundtrack and those words jumped out at me.

They completely sum up the basic principles of branding: it’s what other people think about you.

Perception is everything.

It’s not about your skill. 

I know your services and offerings are high-end. I know you’re passionate and talented and offer the best.

But the point is, even *if* someone didn’t really have the quality, if the branding created the right perception, that’s all that’s needed to draw those potential clients in.

It’s not about aptitude.

It’s the way you’re viewed.
