Today is my birthday! 🎉 Holiday-week birthdays are for the birds… They may as well not exist.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ While I DO make the best of it, I have one simple rule: if you’re going to double up (the ole 2 for 1 Christmas / bday gift) at least put it in the birthday wrapping paper. Shiny object syndrome won't fit into your content strategy. 🤯⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Ever felt like you're scrambling to post on every platform to try to get your business in front of as many new clients as possible? And did it leave you exhausted, miserable, and with posts that were only half done?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ No shame. We've all been there. But guess what? 🤷🏼♀️⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ You can blame shiny object syndrome. Someone convinces you that a certain platform or type of content worked great for them, so you follow the pressure to try it, and before you know it you're trying to show up everywhere.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It never works. Well, that's a lie. It only works if you have an entire section of your team dedicated entirely to social media content (which means a lot of $$$). 🤦🏻♀️⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Focus on 1-2 outlets for content. Instagram and a podcast or Pinterest and a blog. Pick 2 and go all in creating amazing content.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ You'll reach just as many potential clients, and you'll do it with content that actually makes them want to follow along and work with you. Less shiny object syndrome = better content and more leads! 👏🏻
