Hey friend. 👋🏼 My name’s Lindsey + today I need to give you a lil pep talk. I started out as a wedding photographer + slowly have transitioned into being an entrepreneur and business educator. (Annnddd about to add podcaster to that list of titles HOLLA 🎙⚡️👏🏼). My business grew fast and everyone always asks me how. How did you do it? How did you hone in on your style? How are you confident enough to show up online? How did you get to making 6 figures in photography? How did you grow your instagram following? How how how? I could give you a billion strategies of how I logistically did certain things. (But let’s be real that’s what @theheartuniversity online course - opening next Tuesday Oct 15th!! - is for... 😜😜). But when I really think about what I have that got me where I am now.... it comes down to this: I know my worth in Jesus Christ and stand FIRM in that. I KNOW the creator of the universe made me unique. I KNOW He made me with a purpose. I KNOW I can be confident in that because people’s opinions of me don’t matter... God’s does. I KNOW He sure as heck didn’t make me to stand on the sidelines letting life pass by when He created me to STEP INTO THE GAME and be a world changer. And friend.... THAT kind of confidence doesn’t come overnight. But it does come from Jesus. Because when you have THAT kind of confidence, showing up for people isn’t scary. When you have that kind of confidence, selling something you KNOW will help people is VITAL. And that kind of confidence changes everything. So sure... I learned some savvy social media strategies. Sure, I LOVE marketing and branding and am preetttyyy dang good at it. But what I HAVE to contribute my life and journey to... is a whole lotta Jesus and the confidence, firm identity, and security He brings with knowing Him. Knowing God intimately and personally like that... it will change your life. And not just in your career. It will change your life in EVERY facet. All ya gotta do is first give Him the reigns and let Him take you on the wildest journey He created you for. Tag a fellow gal who needs a lil encouragement boost. Anyone feeling like 🤯🙌🏻😭??

I didn’t know I could love a child so much until this lil nugget came into our lives. I know I say this all the time, but I LEGIT never wanted kids. I thought a career just wasn’t possible with littles, which is such a lie. This past month of working full time while watching her has taught me a lot. Here’s some tips I’ve learned as a work from home stay at home mom. 😜 1) Batch work + CHUG out super focused, intentional work during nap times. Ya never know if their naps are gonna be 2 hours or 30 minutes so just make a game plan for your day + during nap times GO. Turn off all distractions, cell phone on airplane mode, and MAKE THE MOST of that nap time no matter how long or short it is. 2) Have someone watch your littles one or two days a week. I JUST started having a babysitter watch Elle on Monday’s and it’s already so helpful to knock out a ton of work one day a week, so that the rest of the week can be a bit more flexible. As we prep for our podcast launch this fall 😉😉 for @theheartuniversity we’re making Monday’s our batch recording days so I can record uninterrupted. If you’re able to have a family member or babysitter watch your kids, even one day a week can be super helpful! 3) Give yourself SO MUCH grace. Life looks different with a lil babe than it did before. Work looks a lot different now too. And that’s okay. There’s a season for everything + it’s so important to remember that not every season has to be GOGOGOGO. Take time to savor this sweet season if you have a lil babe to take care of. Work will always be there when you come back to it. But your baby will never be this young again. So give yourself grace mama. ❤️ I hope these tips were helpful to all my working mamas out there! You got this! We’re all in the game together. Tag a fellow entrepreneur mama who can relate!
Eloise in the hoouuusseeee!!! 👶🏼👋🏼 I’m now 3 months old! Wowza. Life is pretty cool. Here’s what I’ve been up to this last month. I’m starting to notice loud sounds more. This one time as I was about to nap a loud motorcycle drove down the street and scared me. Like how dare he... didn’t he know I was NAPPING!? 😑 I am very very talkative. I don’t know the language mom and dad use yet, but I like talking to them anyway. I think they call it cooing or somethin like that. I’m smiling lots more and mama thinks I’m close to laughing for the first time. I totally know how to do that but I like toying with her a lil bit so I’ll laugh when I wanna. 😏 Big news! I have now decided to sleep through the night! Mom + dad seem a bit more awake during the daytimes now. 🤣 Though occasionally I like to throw em for a loop and wake up at 4am instead of 6am. Hehehehehe 🤪 I like to keep life a lil spicy. I’m also pretty much a walking celeb when we go out (except I’m not walking obvi 🤣). Everyone looks at me and tells me how cute I am. I’ll try not to let that go to my head, but I am pretty dang cute so maybe it already has. 🤣🤷🏼♀️ That’s all for now! See ya in a month! ✌🏼 xoxo, EJ #EloiseJoy
