Spending the weekend helping my parents move into their new home 🏠 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Started some new littles ✨ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ And getting ready to list those littles and have a welcome autumn sale! This last weekend of summer has been 👌 but I’m also ready to say hello to a new season! Email subscribers, watch your email for release dates. Not on my list? Comment here and I’ll add ya! 🍂
Details of a big one I’m working on. Gosh I love working big ⚡️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’m currently deep into several pieces for an event next month and I’m loving how they are turning out!
Beautiful details ✨ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If my abstracts have taught me anything, it’s that I like swooping lines and round shapes. I have no clue what this means, but I have wondered what someone would discover if they did a personality test on my paintings 🧐 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I hope that they sense peace and joy and rest. ✨
If it’s going to be Monday, let it be a Monday when I’m surrounded by flowers and have paint covered hands. I wish you could feel the joy I feel right now and right here as I paint!
In the spirit of celebrating Friday, I’m taking a cue from another Instagram account that shares every Friday how this week was the best week ever. Can’t remember now who it was, but I thought I would celebrate Friday with a few reasons why this was the best week ever. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ✨ 1. The first full week with all our kinders is under our belt. My husband and I both work as instructional assistants at an all kindergarten school and the first week with all the students is a traditionally a big/emotional/ exhausting/exciting week. We love our jobs and we love our students. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ✨ 2. Ending Friday with a clean house is enough to make me want to dance for joy! Got some grocery shopping help (thanks Mom!) so I could bust out some chores. Even if it’s only clean for 10 minutes, I’m a happy girl! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ✨ 3. And the final reason this is the best week ever? This painting behind me is finally shaping up 😗 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ✨ what are you celebrating this week friends??
I dropped my mascara on the bathroom sink this morning and it made the most interesting marks. So I had to find a spare wand in the medicine cabinet to give it a go. I’m kinda digging the marks it makes! 〰️ Have you ever used any unusual tools while making art?
Collecting all the flowers from the garden while they last! 🍂 Also, speaking of flowers, check my stories for some new things I’m working on 💫
Remains of the day ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I don’t know what I’d do without baby wipes. They are a highly necessary part of my process. From wiping brushes, to scrubbing out layers, to cleaning my hands, they do it all. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Today’s count topped out at 7 wipes, in about 2 hours of painting. Mostly on my hands. Sometimes on the canvas. ✋🤚 Which now that I think of it, and reflect back on my kids diaper days, isn’t really that much 😂
