It’s #internationalpronounsday! Mine are she/her and are listed on my blog page bio(which I haven’t used yet! So don’t worry about reading 😬) however I think it may need to be moved front and center. You might wonder why a cis gender person would proclaim their pronouns but it is important that we NOT make assumptions about someone’s gender expression and how they might identify. When I think about my dad, I feel like the relationship I have with him is hard to put into words. He is one of the most challenging people in my life, and I’m certain he would say the same about me, especially when I was growing up. Also, he is a big fan of honesty and forthrightness and I hope that if he were to read this post he would appreciate my own, despite how private he can be. Adulthood has allowed our relationship to grow and shift. I appreciate his humor a little more (especially in text form, I envy how quick and witty he can be) and that he became a better listener and friend.
