Morning all!! 🤗 I hope you guys are all doing well! We are round to our second well-being Wednesday, this week i thought it would be nice to put forward some book and podcast recommendations for you guys! Let us know in the comments what your favourite book/podcast is that helps you take some time out of uni work and helps with your wellbeing! Reading helps reduce stress and improves your sleep. Listening to an interesting podcast can really make you think and boost your wellbeing. By taking a few minutes of your day to read/listen to a relaxing book/podcast it can really help you to shut out the rest of the world for a little while and improve your wellbeing! I definitely know I will be starting to read my way through this list of books 😍🙌🏼 Nancy

Good morning everyone! I hope you are all safe and well 🤗💜 Today is wellbeing Wednesday! Every week LUVS will share some wellbeing tips or something they love to help with their wellbeing! This week we bring you 10 stress buster tips to help improve your mental health management and have a more positive outlook 🤗 1️⃣ Be active Exercise may not make your stress disappear, but it will help reduce some of the emotional intensity that you may be feeling, clearing your thoughts and allow you to deal with your problems more calmly & clearly. In Liverpool and Neston there are lots of lovely walks and runs down to the waterfront or through parks. It definitely helps me clear my head after a busy day of lectures. 2️⃣ Take control There's always a solution to any problem 💪🏼 "That feeling of loss of control is one of the main causes of stress and lack of wellbeing." The act of taking control is in itself empowering, and it's a crucial part of finding a solution that will satisfy you and not someone else. Taking the time you need for yourself. 3️⃣ Connect with people A good support network of family and friends can ease your uni work troubles and help you see things in a different way. The activities we do with friends help us relax. We often have a good laugh with them, which is an excellent stress reliever. Being able to talk things through with family or friends may allow you time find solutions to your problems. 4️⃣ Have some 'me time' Sometimes we do not spend enough time doing things we really enjoy. Set aside a couple of nights a week for some quality “me time” away from uni work. By picking those days it will mean you wont be tempted to work overtime. 5️⃣ Challenge yourself 🤓 Setting yourself goals and challenges, whether at uni or outside, such as learning a new language or a new sport, can help build your confidence. This will help you deal with stress as it can make you more resilient as a person.
