How EWE doing? 🐑 Mother Nature works hard, but so do these female sheep (also known as ewe, pronounced yü). Every spring they get down to business in the vineyards, eating the grass and cover crops between the vines to keep everything in tip-top, grape-growing shape the natural way #EarthDay

With #ChooseToChallenge the theme for this year’s International Women’s Day, I’m raising a glass to all the women carving careers in wine – a field notoriously dominated by men. Growing up in Connecticut, joining the wine industry was not an obvious career path for me. But when I was studying abroad in college, I fell in love with Sicilian Chardonnay during a tasting in the volcanic vineyards atop Mount Etna. This life-changing moment set my course in the wine world in motion. I’m proud to be a #WomanInWine and an integral part of our industry’s future.

When Valentine’s Day and moving day collide. In between packing and spackling, we found time to take in our favorite view and a toast with @lucienalbrecht Crémant d'Alsace. We’re saying goodbye to our vineyard house and moving back to the city of Napa. Different house, same valley, same amazing guy by my side ❤️

The past week in this mountain town has been fulfilling and family-focused…very much needed after a quiet year spent closer to home. While so much didn’t happen this year - plans, travels, gatherings - I truly believe there are many joys to count in 2020. So while I’m happy to see this year go, I am also grateful for all that it taught me - how to slow down, form deeper connections, and learn to adapt. There are no guarantees about the future, but I will continue to make plans, spend time with those I love, and find peace by reflecting on everything I have overcome. Cheers to 2021!

It’s been one of those watch Christmas movies, drink hot cocoa, and bake cookies kinda week. TBH many of these goodies are long gone by now 🙈 My very first Christmas dessert board features homemade sugar cookies, hand-dipped chocolate pretzel rods, and peanut butter blossoms. Our house is ready for Santa!

Now that our Christmas cards have gone out, I can finally share this year’s photo 💌 It felt extra-important to check in with friends and family this year, and I’m grateful for snail mail that allows us to do just that. So I hope you all enjoy our little holiday greeting, whether virtually or on paper. Jack and I are wishing you all hope, wonder, and joy for the holidays and always ❤️ Photo: @sarahannerisk
