In Spain, the concept of not using single use plastic has yet to still take off fully. Many bars (including many top end bars) sadly still often stick a couple of plastic straws in each drink without thinking. I often get odd looks when I say no thank you to a straw and proceed to get out of my bag my bamboo straws.
