We spent time learning what rhythm means by playing call-and-repeat games, looked at our fingers and why we number them when learning to play, and attempted our first piece on the keyboard. A huge thank you to the PTA for their funding—this allows every child at our school to learn a musical instrument for a term." ~Mrs Kempson

🔥🪨 " Maple Class enjoyed making Stone Age settlements to learn about what prehistoric humans needed to survive. We carefully chose to build our settlements near a river so there would be a source of water. We also placed it close to a forest, which would provide firewood, shelter materials and food. The children thought about the importance of having space for a fire, which would help people keep warm, cook food and stay safe. Through this activity, we learned how early humans used the natural resources around them to meet their everyday needs."~Miss Stubbs
