This afternoon, a mixed 5/6 team participated in a Hampshire football tournament. Having never played as a team before, they did so well by losing two, drawing one and winning our last game with two brilliant goals. I couldn't fault their behaviour, sportsmanship and overall attitude. Next week, our Year 6 children will sit their SATS... But they're so much more than a test score.

We had a great visit from local author Tim Walters to share his new children’s book ‘Island SOS’ with us. The book's theme is ‘Two islands on opposite sides of the world. What happens to each of them when humans arrive?’ Tim read the book and then talked with the children about the themes of sustainability, climate action, and what they could do to help. Through art work and writing a pledge, the children had the chance to think of actions they will take to help the environment, and help with sustainability and climate change.
