International Women’s Day was March 8th, and because that was a Friday, they chose to have the dinner on the following Monday. The AGR men were allowed to bring one woman that is important to them to dinner. However, our support of the First Amendment does not extend to tolerating white supremacy nor bigotry on this campus. We dedicate our lives to serving and furthering the advancement of the black community, as well as those who support and are able to empathize with our everyday struggles. We find it disrespectful, insensitive, and disruptive to the campus and our causes and service to have anyone who openly advocates for hate against marginalized communities and threatens Iowa State’s principals of the community: Respect, Purpose, Cooperation, Richness in Diversity, Freedom from Discrimination, and the Honest and Respectful Expression of Ideas.
