🎭 National Recognition at the ISA Drama Competition! 🌟
We are delighted to share that Livia and Grace received an Honourable Mention at the ISA Drama Competition for their duologue from Love and Information by Caryl Churchill. In addition, Grace was awarded the Junior Performer’s Award — a fantastic individual achievement.
Their performance was met with rave reviews from judges, directors, and fellow teachers, with one describing them as “a pair of exceptional actors,” which was thoroughly deserved.
We are immensely proud of both girls. Their dedication, commitment, and willingness to go above and beyond throughout rehearsals were exemplary, and it was wonderful to see their hard work recognised on a national stage. They represented the school with professionalism, creativity, and confidence.

We are absolutely delighted to share the fantastic results from this year’s LAMDA examinations, taken by our Year 2, 5 and 6 pupils. Every single child passed, with the majority achieving an incredible distinction grade! 🎭🌟

Last month, seven of our talented pupils from Years 4 to 6 proudly represented our school for the very first time at a national football tournament held at St George’s Park – the home of the England football team ⚽🇬🇧

Competing against the top 28 independent schools in the country, this was no ordinary event. It was a truly prestigious and unforgettable experience for everyone involved.

From the moment they stepped onto the pitch, our team showed incredible confidence and pride. They embraced the occasion, rose to the challenge, and demonstrated remarkable maturity throughout, making it through to the final group stage.

Their enthusiasm, focus, and respect for the game shone brightly, making this an amazing experience not only for the players but for all who supported them.

This week, our pupils are getting hands-on with **creative, cross-curricular learning**, bringing Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths together in exciting and practical ways 🧠🎨🔧

Throughout the week, pupils will be designing, building and creating — from **constructing marble runs and designing self-sustaining terrariums** to **exploring materials, forces and ecosystems**, and even using everyday experiences like **food and recipes** to understand scientific change and problem-solving.

🌊💙 Friday 7th November – WEAR BLUE DAY! 💙🌊

This year we are combining our ongoing support for Just One Tree with Plastic Clever Schools to protect our oceans and raise awareness of plastic waste.

The ocean is the cornerstone of Earth’s life support system. It shapes climate and weather and holds the key to our future. 🌍

Kelp is in decline because it struggles to grow in warmer waters, so simply planting more isn’t tackling the real issue. That’s why Just One Tree is focusing on helping nature regenerate kelp forests — supporting lasting change beneath the waves. 🌿🪸

At SMHP, we’ll be taking part in activities to learn how to protect our oceans and make sensible choices about plastic use.

💙 All children and staff will be dressed in blue this Friday to mark the occasion and show our support for a cleaner, healthier planet! 💙
