3. Meet your photographer: booking an engagement session let’s you spend some time and get to know your photographer. It gives you a chance to see if you vibe together and if your a good fit. So on the day you’ll be hanging out with a not just your wedding photographer but a friend.

4. Use your wedding hair and makeup trail: you might as well use your hair and makeup trail for your engagement session! It will make you feel confident and fancy.

5. Save the date and wedding stationary: there are so many ways to use you engagement session photos. Save the date cards or engagement party invitations are sorted.

6. Choice of locations: On your wedding day photo locations can be limited to those close to your venue. Choosing a location that is special to you as a couple, not bound by time or travel restrictions makes images special and sentimental as there is a story and connection to the chosen location.

  • Every summer I take photos of my little family. It’s tradition. This year we went to my family’s farm in Gippsland. We drove our car on the paddock and unknowingly we left the boot open as we headed down the paddock for some photos as the sun was setting.

When we got back to the car it was surrounded by cows that had pulled everything out of the car boot and they had strewned it all over the paddock. Everything had saliva all over it! They had rubbed themselves on the car and we could tell they had licked the car as well! By this stage we were laughing and nervously running to the car as the kids were scared!

Family sessions never go perfectly or to plan. I should know, I’m running around with a timer and tripod trying not to step in cow poo, but they are so worth it, documenting how your kids grow and change and you could even have an adventure while you’re at it!

If you’re after a fun, relaxed family session, where we go with the flow and take some pictures of your family in a beautiful location let’s get in touch!
