• Self limiting beliefs are created from our feelings around past life experiences. What’s crazy is, these feelings are based on our perceptions of events, not necessarily the reality of what happened. .

So it’s possible that we go through life, embracing these self limiting beliefs that are many times self-imposed without ever really stopping to reflect on where they came from and if they are still serving us. .

Taking responsibility for our lives begins when we start to ask the questions. When we get real about why we don’t we have the job, the business, the partner, the home, the income, the vacation experiences, the friends, etc. that we desire. .
.
What is it that’s stopping us? What beliefs are we holding onto from the past, that are preventing us from being the person we want to be in the future? .
.
Let’s take responsibility for our present, and move hopefully into the future. 💓

This week is all about taking 💯 responsibility for your life. My friend, this includes the state of your health and fitness. 😳 .
.
I know it’s hard to admit, but somewhere along the line we decided that it was selfish to take time to move our bodies. .
.
We decided that going for that 30 minute run was just too hard after work. We decided that we didn’t want to bother anyone to help with the kids for an hour while we went to a fitness class. We decided that getting up an hour before our kids sounded like the worst idea ever. .
.
Admit it or not, it was a decision that you MADE. .
.
Maybe you turned to snacking for a quick hit of satisfaction, maybe you turned to a favorite TV show so you could stay in the loop and talk about it with your girlfriends. Maybe you’re being “super mom” to avoid the reality that you COULD be spending that time on yourself instead of doting over little Johnny’s every move. .
.
When we show up for ourselves, and move our bodies so that we have more energy and more self confidence, that’s not SELFISH. That’s showing up as the best version of you for your family and your loved ones. .
.
You and I both know, if we’re being honest, that if you like that reflection looking back at you in the mirror, you’re going to be a HAPPIER person. 😃
.
.
So here’s my suggestion today, find your crack! Well, not really crack. But find the type of movement that LIGHTS YOU UP!! .
.
Whether it’s running, lifting, yoga, CrossFit, rock climbing, dance, Zumba, Pilates, boot camps, pole dancing, martial arts, or STANDING ON YOUR HEAD! Find the thing that you LOVE and that you would regret not doing. If you’re not sure, you’re body will tell you. Listen.

It’s much easier to blame our couple of extra pounds on work, or stress, or kids, or others.

It’s much easier to make excuses for why we’re still not making the income we’d like on our job, our boss, our lack of time, the lack of opportunities. .

To take 💯 responsibility for your life, means you have to give up excuses. You have to give up blaming, you have to give up complaining. This can be hard to do when in fact so often they are so deeply entrenched in our daily self-talk, that we don’t even NOTICE it.

I read this quote over 10 years ago in @jackcanfield_official’s book The Success Principles. His chapter on taking 💯 responsibility for your life was one that has stuck with me through the years. .

While I’ve been far from perfect, it’s something that comes back to me anytime I’m dissatisfied with something in my life, and gives me the reminding urge to get my ass in gear and do something about it.
.
.
.
I’d challenge you this week to bring awareness to the excuses, blaming, or complaining habits that have crept into your life. Write them down, and then be honest with yourself and write 3 things you could do to flip this excuse or bad habit. .

In order to #makeithappen we’ve gotta get real with ourselves. .
